I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and the food came out promptly, the wait staff was very polite and it was fast service, and there was no wait to sit. I thought the atmosphere inside was a little lacking, but the outdoor seating looked more lively and I would have opted to sit outside had they had heaters. The food itself was disappointing. My sandwich had the right components and it was plenty of food, but the flavor was not impressive and everything was fairly greasy. My friend's pulled pork sandwich was honestly pretty bad tasting. I’ve been to Powder Hound Pizza twice now, and have no reason to stop. I enjoyed both the BBQ Chicken and the Spicy Thai pizzas. Both were excellently made, using fresh and flavorful ingredients. I was especially a big fan of the sauces. They rose above expectations and really made the pizza feel at home to its theme. The BBQ Chicken pizza had a nice smoky flavor to it. The crust was just the right thickness, and the toppings were full of flavor. The Hound in Sandpoint, Idaho is a great place to eat. It was open on Veteran's Day so my sister and I went there for the first time. For us, seating was by the window on tall stools and a high, solid wooden table. We looked out our window at the City Beach which was dry but still beautifully structured. They offer outdoor dining but the weather was very cold. Our sandwich and side salad was excellent. Pizza is a specialty, so next time we will order pizza.
