Bambu Thai Cuisine is a true hidden gem — a perfect blend of flavor, freshness, and hospitality. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive without being intrusive, and the service is consistently excellent from start to finish.
Let’s talk about the food — absolutely outstanding! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with clearly fresh ingredients. The portion sizes are generous (seriously, come hungry or plan to take some home), and you can tell there’s real care in every bite. I especially appreciated how balanced the meals were — bold spices without being overwhelming, fresh herbs, and perfectly cooked proteins. You can taste the authenticity and passion behind each dish.
Whether you're going for a classic like Pad Thai or venturing into something new like their specialty curries, you won’t be disappointed. Even the sides and sauces feel crafted, not just added on. And for those who care about nutrition — it’s a refreshing change to find food this delicious that still feels wholesome and energizing. Everything tasted vibrant, not heavy — like it was made to nourish, not just fill.
The atmosphere itself adds to the experience — calm, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with subtle Thai décor and soft music that complements the meal without overpowering conversation.
All in all, Bambu Thai Cuisine is an easy 5-star experience across the board: amazing food, stellar service, and a vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. I’ll definitely be returning soon — and bringing friends. Highly recommended!Great food, huge quantities, great service tasty...
Read moreWe went there for lunch a couple of weeks ago. When we got there, only two other tables were occupied (one table was actually leaving by the time we sat down). We ordered their appetizer sampler, wonton soup, pepper steak, basil chicken, fried rice and noodles. The sampler was okay. The beef in the steak was overcooked. In fact, it was probably the worst beef I've ever had. My jaw was aching by the time I was done with my first serving of their pepper steak. The chicken tasted old (like it was left in the freezer a little too long). The wonton soup wasn't bad but wasn't great either. The noodles was good but the fried rice made up for that by being bland and tasteless. And the worst part was we had to wait for a while to get the server's attention because he didn't bring us plates or utensils even though we asked him when he brought the entrees. The fact that there was only one other table that had patrons gave him room for no excuses (being busy and such). I usually visit a restaurant atleast twice before forming an opinion (to give them the benefit of the doubt). The experience here was so sub-par that we won't be...
Read moreI know at first glance it doesn't look like much. You need to trust me, the food tastes amazing. I'm from Connecticut and in Chicago for work. From the streetview I wasn't sure about the restaurant even though it had 4.4 stars. It just got scarier when I drove up and saw it in person. The building is not great but you have to trust me. I went in and the place was empty so I was even more scared. Then I tried the shrimp roll... It was one of the best I've ever had. The pad Thai was even better. Turns out the place was empty because they do a lot of take out business and well... Covid has made a lot of people not eat in restaurants as much. I know the building doesn't look great and the interior is outdated but that chef knows what he is doing. And it is cheap too!! It is really good food, at a really good price, who cares what the building looks like. Now stop reading this and...
