This is by far my favorite ice cream spot. I've come to this Oberweis location for almost 2 decades now. Anytime people visit the area, I always bring them here or get ice cream from here. This is a must try place!! Unfortunately I moved out of state so I don't get to have this ice cream unless I visit Illinois. I recently visited for 3 days and I had this ice cream more than once! No where else can compare to the rich creaminess of Oberwies ice creams.

Ooh, why oh why is there corn syrup in all their ice cream!?! Wish I didn't read the ingredients. Do not get their apple crisp Sunday! It was disgusting. I ate the ice cream on top. Nothing crisp about it, but rather raw dough, so unsatisfied, so gross. She offered me something else, but was rude about it, so yeah, no thank you.

Stinken expensive for watered down hot chocolate and a scoop of ice cream. I would not recommend this place. It also took over ten minutes to get our ice cream. Banana split was made with brown bananas. Not my favorite. But for $10 it should have been a bit better.

This is by far my favorite ice cream spot. I've come to this Oberweis location for almost 2 decades now. Anytime people visit the area, I always bring them here or get ice cream from here. Best ice cream in the world. I was taken aback a little bit though. Wanted to get some ice cream on the way home from taking a car ride. Stopped in at the counter. Ordered two scoops of vanilla ice cream in a cup and one scoop of orange sherbert (did I spell that right) in a cup. Bill was $11.74. Went to pay for it with my credit card and "select a TIP" pops up. You can select 15%, 20%, etc., or you can select "other amount" and, I guess, just enter $0. I selected 15% because i thought entering 0% would make me feel kind of cheesy (image going to a McDonald's, say, and pulling up through the drive through, and having to pay a "TIP"). Wasn't a big deal (I'm normally a big tipper - tip around 25% - when I go out to dinner). I just thought it was kind of strange - hadn't seen...

I never had an issue at this place. I stopped in Friday evening for my turtle sundae fix. I waited while the workers fixed others ordered that were there before me. Once they finished, they must have forgotten I was there because no one asked to take my order. I still waited patiently. They are all done and having conversations with each other. Until another customer walked in and they took care of her. This didn't sit well with me. Now I see it she is white and I am black. Okay right here in Elmhurst. I asked was anyone going to take my order they all looked at each other. Then the black young lady walked to me and asked me if she could help me. I refuse to spend my money that is green like every else's anywhere they ignore me....

Have been coming here for over 10 years now. And have been ordering blueberry pie ice cream for over a year now. Even take quarts of it home. Today, I got the blueberry pie ice cream again but this time it tasted very bitter and as if it had gone bad. We informed them so if it was indeed bad they wouldn't serve it to anyone else.

Got another kid scoop for my daughter since I had to get her something. Oh, they charged me for that.

Here's a tip, if the ice cream is bad or doesn't taste right, don't charge the customer for its...
