Looney's Pub — Restaurant in Illinois

Went there for the first time about a week ago. It was almost 10 and we were trying to find some where to eat on a Saturday night. Mostly everyone's kitchen was already closed or close to closing. We called Looney's and the person on the phone told us the same story, the kitchen is closing at 10. We said awww ok thanks anyway but he insisted we could still come for food because it was only 9:45. The person on the phone was Matt the bartender. He was awesome! We ordered a chicken quesadilla, lobster roll and mac and cheese with lobster. The quesadilla was delicious, the lobster roll was comparable to Station 51 and half the price! I wish I would've taken pictures! The mac and cheese was a bit over cooked but we chalked it up to ordering at closing time. Matt said to come back on Tuesday for half price pizza, so we did. The order took a bit longer than expected but he said there was a big to go order right before us so I'm glad we got mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. As you can see by the picture, it was cooked perfectly and was half cheese half bacon. The sauce had a good flavor and there was just the right amount. However, it could've used way more bacon! We'll definitely be back to try other items and to see...

Went there last night for the first time. I ordered a beer and it came in a can, I should have stopped there. But no... I go ahead and order burger and fries. Lady next to me at the bar had a chicken sandwich and a huge pile of tater tots. My burger and fries come, there are 11 fries on the plate, crinkle cut, most less than 3 inches in length. I ask the bartender to notice the amount of fries I got versus the tots. Burger bun was what is bought for an 8 yr. olds birthday party. Burger was standard frozen patty. Bartender came back with more fries for me saying the cook was brand new, feeling good that I get to pay for his learning curve. Half way done and the guy on the left of me ordered burger and tots. He asked if my supplement fries are raw and I say yes. His burger and tots come and he tells bartender to take his tots back cause they too were undone. My first review ever, went there cause it is close to home ( I am new to Antioch) and mainly because of the google reviews on it. So much for trusting...

Well we tried going there twice the first time the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. The second time we were the only ones in the place on a Sunday at dinner time there was a guy bartending who didn't seem to have a clue about what bartending is. We ordered drinks and then he went and sat at the end of the bar and ignored us. He said the owner was there but we never saw her or him. I guess he said she was out smoking. Can't see this place lasting long which is a shame because it's a nice place inside. They did do a beautiful job on fixing it up but it's going to waste with the wrong...
