I have eaten here a lot and there food is great... I ordered food for pick up today. And I was told my food would be done at 4:15. I got here at 4:13. And no one greater me or asked if I needed something. A waitress walked throw and looked at me 3 times. Then a family of 3 walked in and I sat them at a table. When the waitress came out she seen them and greater them promptly. I stayed standing at the front desk for another 10 min till someone came around the The corner with her mouth full of food and bread in her hand. She then asked me if my name was Kelly and If i have a togo order with food in her mouth. I said yes and I asked who is supposed to be at the front desk ?? She said she is but she was getting my food ready. I have never been in a restaurant where I sat at the front desk for 27 minutes without being greeted and had to seat a table for them so that other customers didn’t walk out the front door. She told me my food was ready at 4:15 so you think she’s going to probably know someone’s gonna be at the front at 4:15 . Instead I didn’t get my food until after 430.. I spend fifty to a hundred to hundred fifty dollars in here probably three or 4 times a month but I will not be back.. I have worked in the food industry for over 10 years and I’ll tell you that is completely...
Read moreHaving now visited JJ Twigs twice since its transition, I can say the renovation has breathed new life into the space. The refreshed interior strikes a balance between casual warmth and contemporary polish, with the pool area and bar particularly well-executed—inviting without pretense. On our most recent visit, a table for six was easily reserved, and the setting proved ideal for a relaxed evening among friends. Upon arrival, however, the entry process remains ambiguous—guests are left uncertain whether to wait for a host or seat themselves, a small but notable oversight in an otherwise well-orchestrated atmosphere. Service on this occasion, led by Shelby, was exemplary—attentive, personable, and unhurried. Drinks were well-crafted and consistent across the table. The pizzas continue to impress—crispy, balanced, and generously topped—while the entrees, notably the smash burger, showcased thoughtful execution and flavor. JJ Twigs succeeds where it matters most: good food, inviting ambiance, and service that makes you feel at ease. It’s an excellent choice for groups seeking a casual yet elevated dining experience. With a few refinements to the guest flow upon arrival, it could evolve from a neighborhood favorite into a standout local...
Read moreWe went here to take my friend visiting from out of town out to a nice dinner. We had a party of five people. The service was pretty slow even though there were not a lot of guests. Drinks took at least 10min to come from the bar- two beers, a vodka cranberry and a whiskey on the rocks. An appetizer of raw oysters took at least 20min. Three of our party had sandwhiches which they said were good. My friend and I opted for steak and lobster. My food was kind of cold and my steak was overdone which they remade, my friend's food came out cold as well. The waitress essentially blamed my friend for her food being cold (she was away from the table when it arrived.) They took it in the back and instead of remaking it, they microwaved it! Microwaved lobster which was brought out by the manager! The lobster got rubbery and we just sent the whole thing back and they begrudgingly took it off our tab. The price of the steak and lobster meal was $48 which was not reflected at all in how the food was prepared. All in all, it was a highly disappointing experience since they had such good reviews. Unless your in the mood for a garden variety sandwich,...
