Teri's Route 66 Diner — Restaurant in Illinois

First time eating there. My boyfriend and I came to the flea market and decided to grab breakfast there. We ordered biscuits and gravy and a cup of coffee. Great coffee by the way! There was 1 other couple in there waiting on food. We waited 45 minutes for biscuits and gravy. The easiest thing to prepare. The waitress seen we were getting uneasy as to why our food wasn’t out yet and came over told us they ran out of biscuits and had to make more. Ok no problem. But when we got our food. It was grands biscuits. Can biscuits that took 45 minutes to cook. When I go to a restaurant. I expect and have always gotten homemade biscuits. Never can. The gravy was package pepper gravy. No sausage in it. No flavor. The waitress was very nice. She took my boyfriend’s cup to go refill it with coffee. She never came back. Had to go to counter and ask for a cup. I’m sorry but if you only have 2 tables and your can’t take care of them properly. You shouldn’t be a waitress. I really want to try the burgers as reviews say they are delish. Stopped by Teris diner on way home round 940 am . I pull up look at door hours said open 9 am to 6 pm, cool. I walk in there's a gentleman eating at the counter, lady said Can I help you, I said I'd to place a to go order. Lady in back kitchen area said you must of forgot to lock doors after you let so and so in .. the Lady I was talking to became rude and said "Well we don't open til 11 am ". I turn around to walk out door and calmly said well your door says 9 am, you should fix that sign, she damn near pushed me out the door and locked. I went in last night at 5 pm to get dinner first for most I was not greeted then to top off their were people inside waiting I should have not have gotten my food first their orders was taking first then I'm sitting at the bar watching the blonde lady that took my order not wearing gloves was handling the fries with her bare hands then neither the cook or the waitress was not wearing a hair net do better you work with food the food was not cooked all the way through I know their is a new cook but come on I don't think we will be back the food does not taste the same it was not worth the 60...
