Casa Mia Eatery and Bar — Restaurant in Independence

Spent $27.00 Two take-out orders. Food 1 star. Customer service 4 stars. Order taken quickly and politely. On arrival the restaurant was completely empty, worrisome. It was lunch time, there should have been at least a dozen people here. Looked clean, although the floor and windows could use a good scrub along with the front entrance. The hostess was friendly and efficient. The food was disappointing. Enchiladas made with white sauce, who does that? Did not taste good, plus too much cheese. Beans did not taste homecooked and the rice was dry. The quesadilla was so greasy it seeped through the tortilla, too much cheese. And we like cheese! Served with a scoop of sour cream. The chips were a little stale. We try to patronize local restaurants, and I'd like to see this restaurant succeed. They won't last if changes aren't made fast. Clean up the front entrance, wash the windows. Simplify their menu, way too many dishes offered without a steady customer base. Look at the dishes offered, redo recipes and cook with authenticity. Not going to lie, I was nervous to try this place because it is newer and I never really see cars in the parking lot, but the hubby and I decided to give the food a try and order some food to-go. We went in to order on a Friday at about 3:30, so in between lunch and dinner. We were the only people there. I didn't see a bar, but we also didn't go around the corner.

We ordered the deep fried tacos (comes with 2), the fried chicken sandwich that comes with fries, and the appetizer sampler. All of that was $31.

We got in the car and the food smelled great...good sign. Im a sucker for some puffy tacos, so when we got home, we devoured them immediately. (Hence, no picture) SO GOOD! The taco meat was tender and flavorful. The chicken sanwich seemed like it was made fresh and not frozen. Really juicy. The fries were nice and crispy. My husband really liked the onion rings. I was too full to try anything else. So the rest of the apps will be going in the air fryer later. Oh and the RANCH!!!!! YUM!

Very good food! I had the BBQ wings came out steaming hot, my mom got the deep fried tacos said they were very good. We both got the Appetiser combo came out nice and hot as well! Mom said she prefers the chicken taco. Came with warm chips and 2 options of salsa, normal and spicy both very good. Great service the nice young lady serving us was very sweet. Great portions sizes! Wish people would come here more often. Both Mexican and American options. And they are on doordash!
