McDonald's — Restaurant in Independence

I am writing to express my disappointment with the McDonald's restaurant located at 6201 Brecksville Rd, Independence, OH 44131. I visited this restaurant with my children on Tuesday, May 29th at 5:22 PM, and had a very unpleasant experience.

When we first walked into the restaurant after placing a mobile order, we were immediately struck by the sight of dirty tables. There were several tables with food and drink remnants left on them, and no one seemed to be cleaning them up. We were hesitant to sit down at a dirty table, but eventually found one that was clean enough.

Our experience was ruined by the following:

Unprofessional behavior of the employees: The employees were continuously using foul language and were always on their cell phones.

Nasty-looking chicken nuggets: The chicken nuggets looked gross and I had to ask the employees to remake them.

Overflowing garbage cans: The garbage cans were overflowing onto the top.

I am disappointed with the cleanliness, the customer service, the quality of the food, and the overall cleanliness of this restaurant. It was my first time entering this restaurant with my children who were impressed by the upscale, unique look of the restaurant from the outside. I am even more disappointed that the restaurant was not even busy at the time of our visit. I hope that McDonald's will take my feedback seriously and make some changes to improve the experience at...

We waited over 20 minutes in the drive thru line with only 2 cars in front of us. We thought at least our food would be piping hot since we asked for it to be dropped fresh. Nope. Not only was it not hot or even warm, it was COLD & stale/old!!! The fries were chewy as if they’d been under the heat lamp for days or microwaved, & so was the chicken sandwich. The chicken nuggets were also chewy & room temperature. The cashier who handed us our food was about as unfriendly as you could find. No smile, nothing. And after speaking to her manager we can see why. The Coke & chocolate milk were fine.

However, when I called to explain I didn’t want to come back & wait forever again. “Schevroy” didn’t apologize but was rude & said the best he/she (I couldn’t tell by the voice) could do was to refund my money OR replace the meal. Nothing for my trouble! I told her/him I could bring the food back tomorrow to show I didn’t touch it other than 1 fry & 1 chicken nugget, she said that’s all she can do & questioned whether I actually had a receipt. What!!?? Yes, yes I do. So I have to make a trip back there to just get my money back, & I still have to find somewhere else to find something to eat & wait some more. Idk who made her/him a manager, but they must be desperate for warm bodies there because she/he is doing a terrible job. No wonder her employee seemed miserable!

Don’t bother going here unless you like cold, cardboard chewy, reheated food that takes 20+ minutes to get from an unfriendly cashier & addressed by a rude...

I'm going to say that this location used to be good. Me and my wife used it as our primary location. I will now tell you we will never be back again.

We want for lunch and above the things we ordered was a large fry. Once we received my order I automatically knew the Fries were stale and cold to the touch. I immediately got up and I informed them about the issue. The girl went back and said this " the man said his fries were cold" how in the world is that respectfull???They then gave me another fry , which also turned out to be the exact same way. I immediately returned and asked to speak the manager. .she also said they just made them and she just lied to my face.... Which in reality, she made it seem like the fries were the issue but in reality it's really not, but the more important issue was the lack of professionalism and the lack of respect. She ended up refunding me my fries I know it's McDonald's and everyday McDonald's as a company has their issues. But you still need to have respect and act in a professional manner when your wearing a McDonald's uniform or any uniform for that manner. Your behavior plays a role in how the general public thinks .

Anyone traveling and not from here, stay away from this location....
