This place is really amazing. Made me realized that I’ve tried so many different Asian styles of cooking and OMG I have never had true dishes from the Philippines.. What a pleasant surprise to find this place is not far from me, though even if it is far from you, I guarantee it is 100% worth the drive.

Read moreLove going to Tita Flora’s when I have the chance! The servers are always kind and the food is great. It’s nice to be able to have a filipino place around. I love being able to take friends and my family here. Across many visits, I’ve had the lumpia, pork skewers, fish balls, takwot baboy, lechon, pancit, and sisig. All have great flavor. Had the lechón last night with garlic rice and pancit bihon! The sauce on the lechón adds depth to the pork, and the garlic in the rice is an even, not overpowering taste. It’s well balanced. These make me feel at home when I eat them. Loved trying to tofu in the pancit as well as I’ve never had that before. It took on the flavor of the pancit and was nice and light. Also had an order of the sisig. But it’s the only dish I would say I have stopped liking. Since my visits don’t happen too often due to distance, I kept getting it to see if it was a fluke. But the past few times I’ve gotten the sisig it’s mostly been fat instead of meat. When I would get it when Tita Flora’s first opened it was more meat than fat. The flavor is amazing with the spice of the pepper, but unfortunately it’s something I’m going to stop getting. Lastly, topped it off with halo halo. My favorite part of the halo halo is probably the ube ice cream and the beans! Makes for a light and refreshing end to a meal afterwards. Overall, I love Tita Flora’s and being able to have a taste of home. The flavors are amazing in the dishes and everything is cooked to perfection. I know I’ll keep visiting and bringing friends and family...
Read moreOverall Pros: place was very clean, love the bacground music, the servers were nice and attentive.
Serving: good size servings, except the halo-halo (we thought it was small for $10).
Taste: The pancit bihion was ok (it is a very forgiving and simple dish in my opinion so I don’t think anyone could mess it). The pork sisig was bland and it was not sizzling (those who really know sisig knows that the sizzling plate should be sizzling hot when served that you cannot touch it and the sisig is popping and steaming). When ee asked for knorr seasoning and hot sauce, the server looked confused why we were asking for knorr. She kept saying that the sisig was already seasoned so in an effort to explain further, I said “In the Philippines, we add knorr and hot sauce to sisig.” The moment I said that, I felt embarrased for having to explain that to a fellow Filipina. She went to the kitchen and came back with the condiments so I thought maybe the cooks understood what we wanted. She asked how the food was and we told her honestly that the sisig was bland and that it wasn’t really sizzling hot. She offered to take it back to heat it up but we declined as we felt we already made so much fuss about the condiments and we didn’t want to be “that kind” of customer. They tried to make it right, though - they took 50% off of the sisig price.
Overall I think they have potential. Our experience may be just a one-off. I wish...
