Zabiha Chicken and Sub — Restaurant in Independence

I found out about this place about a week and a half ago. Looked at the menu via Google and was interested. So I decided to get my dinner here. The place was easy to get to (I was surprised at how close it was near my home). When I went inside, there were individual places to sit at and areas where groups can sit and dine. I however wanted to take my food home. I looked over the menu before coming so that I can decide what to get. I went with a double quarter pound cheeseburger with grilled onions, medium spicy sauce and mustard, fries, onion rings and chicken nuggets. The order took around ten minutes, which I'm fine with since I love cooked to order. The employee (which I think is also a manager there) explained to me about their signature Moe sauce, as well as suggesting I order their pizza (which I'll definitely try in the near future). He sounds like a nice guy and happy to help. One thing I noticed while waiting for my order is that the establishment follows Halal Monitoring Services ( HMS for short. A branch of Shariah Board of America). The meat used here is processed by their standards. So if you're looking for a place that is certified under this, then this one of them. After I got my order, he wished me a good day and thanks for coming in and I thanked him. When I got home I couldn't wait to try the food. I started with the cheeseburger. Let me just say this. I was so glad I came here. The burger was tender, juicy, the sauce had both flavor and a little spice. The Moe sauce has a nice twang in between bites. The chicken nuggets were nicely seasoned, tender and were good size pieces. I enjoyed the fries. The onion rings are okay. The Moe sauce helped out them out. The overall experience was amazing. Please give this place a shot. The food is good, service was helpful and everything is cooked to order. You can call your order in for pickup and they are available through Doordash for delivery. I was so hungry I completely forgot to take a picture before digging in — so excuse the half-finished plate 😭 — but I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with onion rings and a drink, and honestly it hit the spot. The Philly was loaded with meat and flavor, and the onion rings were crispy and fresh, not greasy at all.

Prices were really good too, especially for the portion size. You definitely get your money’s worth here. The food came out fast, the staff was nice, and even though there weren’t many people inside, the quality was way better than I expected.

I just got a fish sandwich to start. Come on the guy makes his own tarter sauce. Which by the way is one Grrrreat tarter. I don't know if I can wait to go back and get a chicken anything. Honestly I think I'll head back now. Plus I wouldn't mind seeing the chef again. I don't know if he's taken but whoever gets him as their other half will be one blessed person.
