We arrived about 6:50 pm tonight (Saturday). There was tons of staff and only one customer in front of us. the cashier never greeted us or asked if this was dine in or carry out. My daughter just started putting in her order to the cashier as the cashier just stared us (younger blonde girl with glasses). My daughter ordered a 4 pc chicken strip basket and a blizzard. I also ordered a blizzard. I paid our bill and we stepped to the side. About 5 minutes later, a couple comes in and placed their order. The customers that entered before us got their food. Another 5 minutes pass. There are maybe 3 people actively working. The other 6 just walk around wiping up items, refilling tea canisters, candies for Blizzards, etc. Then it looks like a bus lets out because the place is now packed! The cashier continually looks at me but says nothing. I am a patient person, but at the 30 minute mark and seeing customers that came in after us get their food, I said to the cashier, “we haven’t gotten our food, it was 3 items” and I held out my receipt to her. She sort of walks away and then comes back to the cash register and takes more orders. I scan the qr code on my receipt because I want to start the survey process. At the 45 minute, I am now agitated and my daughter is ready to leave. I say out loud “I need to speak to a manager” one of the workers stop in front of me and asked what I need to speak to her about. I explain I’d now been there 45 minutes, waiting on 3 items. She asks me what I need, says she will make the blizzards, and sends an older woman with short hair over to me. I assume this is the manager. She asks me what the problem and I tell her that I ordered 3 items, had been waiting 45 minutes, had already reported my concern to the cashier, and nothing had been done about it. She then scurries to the back of the kitchen and I guess tells the cooks to fix a chicken strip basket. She then comes up and sees I have received 1 blizzard, and moves about while the second one is made. After we’re handed the second blizzard, the manager tries to wrap up the experience with “there are your blizzards…” and I say “I still need a chicken strip basket!” She goes back to the kitchen and retrieves a box, shoves some napkins in the top of the box, and hands it to me. No “sorry” no explanation, no “is there anything else you need?” Because I would have asked for a spoon because my daughter didn’t get one in her blizzard. Thankfully she had shoved napkins in the chicken strip box because the napkin dispenser was empty. To not receive an apology or any sort of acknowledgment that I wasted 45 minutes of my life watching an overstaffed disorganized fast food restaurant is ridiculous! In the 45 minutes I was there, I learned the cash register worker was either not trained properly, not taught customer service skills, and should not be the face of the organization. I learned there were so many workers and not much productivity happening. We have been in this same location with half the staff and it ran so much more efficiently. Tonight was a disaster. And the manager didn’t return my...
Read moreIncredibly low sanitary standards! My husband and I received a gift card and decided to stop by at the Dairy Queen closest to our home. When we arrived (Feb 29th), there was no one over the age of 25 working. Normally, that wouldn't be an issue for us, as we are both young as well, but you could tell there was a lack of supervision. All we ordered were two blizzards. We placed our order and the teenager who took it went to make them without confirming that our card went through (it didn't). We tried to get another employee to help but they were all busy gossiping and talking with one another to pay attention to paying customers. Then, I just happened to glance over at the employee making our blizzards and he stuck his bare hand, which had been touching the cash register and unclean counter top, into the container with the topping and put it into my blizzard. Then, the employee in the back area making other food did put some gloves on but then immediately picked up his phone with his gloved hands and began texting on it. With all the disease and infection going around because of unwashed or un-gloved hands, it is mind boggling to me that this still occurs. It is apparent that these employees do not understand basic sanitary standards. Needless to say, we will not ever be returning to this...
Read moreAfter the experience we had tonight, we will not be returning to this location. The drive-thru employee was extremely rude. We had no one behind us, and she gave us a snarky "Do you even know what you want" and kept interrupting as we placed our order. We watched her snatch the debit card from the customer in front of us and shove food at him like he wasn't grabbing items fast enough for her. I was going to give her a piece of my mind, but she sent another employee to the window to handle our order. I guess Mattie W. (name on the receipt) can dish it out, but she can't take it back. This wasn't a staffing issue as there were 3 other employees on the front line besides the 2 at the window. They also think they're slick and trash the receipt, so you won't report them for their piss poor attitude on the survey. DQ can keep the free dilly bar because I won't be back.
I have reached out to management about this experience, but I don't expect to hear...
