Sundae's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Given the quality and variety of their ice cream products, you can't go wrong with any flavor.

I've been in this store for 15yrs at least (often 😆).

And it satisfies my cravings every time. I haven't even needed to return a dish

Check out their Egg Nog ice come winter, omgosh!

Now, I've noticed some sloppy and lazy behavior by some of the staff behind the counter (not everyone, but enough for me to complain to the checkout person).

Young ppl (staff) just standing around w nothing to do, mundane disposition, flat affect, no smile, and blah greeting).

The worst situation was when a male staff member's mom showed up w his dinner (pizza).

Disgustingly, the mom puts pizza box on the counter of serving area and opens the pizza putting hands in it! What?!

I was so grossed out! And I know that's completely against food policy in a food establishment.

There is seating to dine in at Sundaes, where the mom and her son cldv placed the pizza and ate.

Unfortunately, they chose the serving area counter.

Again, I did say something to the young lady at checkout, but she just gave me this blank look like she doesn't get it.

One this day, just for example,, the young male (whose mama brought the pizza) was just standing inside the serving area looking bored and aloof.

When we spoke, he just reflected an attitude and affect that he'd rather be somewhere else.

**Customers do not want to be served by people who obviously can't even pretend to like their job.

I hope the business gets back to making sure the customer service is top notch.

This kinda poor service and apathy is ranked ZERO

I gv Sundaes a 3 anyway bc of a long history of positive service.

For real, if this was going on over 10 years ago, I would have stopped going. And I wldv driven elsewhere for quality...

Graham Central Station is the best ice cream I have ever had! And its only 1 of about 2 dozen or more flavors at this local sweet shop. The ice cream is very creamy and surprisingly soft. I say this is a good thing as it helps you actually taste the amazing flavors vs just the sensation of cold. The shop seats just a few and most orders seemed to be carry out. The owner happened to be scooping out orders, and seemed to know everyone as well as being well known.

I happened to have a very nice conversation about roasting coffee. He was gracious enough to indulge my curiosity about his roaster and green coffee beans he uses. You can find a variety of single origin, blends, and flavored coffees for sale by the pound. There also appeared to be drip and espresso options on the menu.

All in all, I am smitten with the small business attitude, well treatment and familiarity with the customers, and most of all some of the best ice cream in Indianapolis, possibly Indiana. Go for a visit. I promise you will not be disappointed. Next time I go, I plan to get an Affogato which is traditionally gelato and espresso, but I think ice cream will...
