Super Tortas is a hidden gem that’s not so hidden anymore and for good reason!
If you haven’t experienced the flavor explosion that is Super Tortas, you’re seriously missing out. Their original location in Speedway built a loyal following thanks to authentic, bold flavors, warm hospitality, and some of the best tortas in the city (or maybe anywhere). Think juicy, perfectly seasoned meats layered on soft, toasted bread with just the right amount of crisp — plus fresh toppings and sauces that make every bite unforgettable. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the food is consistently amazing.
A few years ago they moved to Haughville to carry on the tradition!!!
And now… they’ve brought the magic to Fountain Square! 🙌
Their new location manages to keep everything that made the original special, while adding a vibrant, welcoming vibe that fits Fountain Square perfectly. Whether you’re grabbing lunch with coworkers, enjoying a casual dinner, or just need something seriously satisfying after a night out, Super Tortas delivers.
If you’re a fan of real-deal street food with heart, flavor, and soul — Super Tortas is your spot. Whether you’re in Haughville or Fountain Square, just go. Your tastebuds...
Read moreCruising through downtown Indy neighborhoods looking for a different lunch spot, spotted this place and thought what the heck let's try some authentic Mexican. Small and cozy, not a huge fan of the metal bench seating that's covered with carpet, and they are crammed way too close together. They provide a trio of sauces and a jar of fresh jalapeños for your taking, but no courtesy chips and salsa or dishes swimming in liquid cheese. It's not the tex mex were all used to.
Staff was super helpful, ask for recomendations and he said "the #1 or #23 no question", the 23 sounded like a meat fest so I opted for the #1 which had fried steak, ham, cheese, peppers, guac and some mystery sauce on a lightly toasted loaf of bread. This thing was huge and filled with flavor. Other than the occasional section of fried fat or gristle this thing was amazing. I guess I didn't know sandwiches were part of the Mexican food group?
Also added a steak taco with onions, cilantro, cheese and sour cream. This thing came out on a double layered corn tortilla smokin hot, very good but corn tortilla is not my thing.
If you're up for a change and good food, I'd recommend stopping by and spending an...

Some of the best Mexican Tortas I have ever had! The restaurant is in a neighborhood just outside of downtown but fairly close the the Zoo. The exterior is a bit deceiving because it's hard to tell that there is even a restaurant there, aside from a few neon signs hanging in the windows.
The interior felt warm and inviting with the tiles surrounding there counter and various Mexican symbols on the walls.
The tortas tho we're on point. We ordered the #1 and the #20. They were both delicious a the meat was a bit greasy but the fresh tomato, onion and avocado really balanced the sandwich. Not to mention the slightly sweet fresh bollio bread that they use--it really made the sandwich come together.
Don't forget the coffee though. The Cafecitio de Olla was a great pick-me-up after such...
