Mansion Society — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Very disappointed with this place. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time. I came in with my mom and my daughter in a stroller. When we got closer to the line area, a staff member was rude and told us the stroller was not going to fit through the line. We knew it wasn’t going to fit, we were just standing close enough to see the menu and pastries before I got in line to order. Not even a nice greeting or anything. After the rude comment that was made, we decided to leave and go to our usual spot, Amelia’s. I was not about to spend money at a business where staff members aren’t friendly and welcoming. I was excited and looking forward to try a Latino owned business as I’m Latina myself. It’s hard to go to places where you don’t feel discriminated, whether it be for being a mother or just being Latina. My mom and I felt very uncomfortable with the place. Such an adorable and lovely place to eat, relax and have some good coffee. They change the special menu every now and then with different unique coffee, drinks, sweets and food that are always exciting to try! If you dine inside, each dish or drink is presented on vintage style plate-ware that fits the historic vibe of the place. If you get it to go, they have adorable stickers on their cups that have different sayings depending on the seasons or themes. I know it's a small detail but its what makes the place an absolute delight to go to. The staff are also so incredibly sweet and personable. Even when it's busy, they work so hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. They are a big part of what makes the place such a darling experience. It will always be a highlight of my week...

Normally I’d talk about how good the coffee is first but I don’t think I’ve ever had better service at a coffee house in my life, the workers were probably the sweetest humans ever and brought out food and coffee to our table and when she realized she forgot to put my extra shot of espresso in my drink she came to me to tell me and asked if she could quick fix it. And when she brought it back omg it was actually one of the best lattes I’ve ever had, it wasn’t over sweet and the flavor was amazing, espresso wasn’t acidic and the syrup tasted homemade not artificial.

I really can’t rave about this place enough were only passing through from out of state but I wish there was something like this near us.
