I'm over 50 years old I thought I've had some of the worst food in my life until I ate at this restaurant. The ground beef tastes like flavored cat food I sent back the tamale it's just dry cornmeal cakes around three pieces of nasty, nasty, nasty did I mention NASTY pork and then it was burnt the worst of all when they brought chips and salsa in the beginning the chips are not only stale, that they were rotten (like they kept ALL the unused chips in a barrel and dolled them out to unsuspecting cuatomers... I wonder what that burnt sour taste was in my mouth and if two three more chips it was the same. They smelled worse, I still have it lingering. I complained she brought me a new chips saying they're not going to make new ones until this evening it's the same as what I just had. I would have hopped in my car ran down to the grocery store and bought some chips and came right back but no they brought me the same exact horrible smelling and tasting chips. I'm about to call the board of food in safety to have them inspect this whole place. I even asked them if there's a different cook in the day or evening she said it's all the same OMG, if there was a plague it probably started here!!! I've had some bad food in my life seriously this tops it by 4 times at least she took the charge for the tamale off but I walked away from the quesadilla I bought after one bite and I barely ate into the burritos worst experience of my life okay third worst experience the first and second was thinking about coming here and...

edit 2024: I have become quite literally obsessed with this place! they have such good flavors and the food is always consistent. I believe they live up to their name! The table salsa is slightly spicy and they have two really great homemade hot sauces, Verde (creamy, spicy, the reason I can't stay away!) and roja (sooo spicy!!). My favorite thing lately is shredded chicken everything... tacos, chimichangas... I really love the spicy burrito or the arrows con pollo. The shrimp is always so tender and perfect whenever I order it. One of the best tamales I have ever had as well! they still make their margaritas by hand and this is important. I really adore this little hole in the wall and The staff is so friendly. This is my go-to restaurant for Mexican food in Indianapolis!

the first thing I noticed walking in was their attention to covid regulations; every other table was blocked off. this made me feel very secure dining in and the place was very clean! I ordered a margarita, 3 chicken tacos, and beans/rice. everything was so good! the salsas are unlike any other place, and they're so flavorful. I can't wait...

I've been eating these tacos since they used to operate out of a truck over by the old Liberty Bell flea market. In many ways they were my introduction to the world of taqueria food, which I have come to dearly love. I went back tonight after having not been for a few years (for no good reason), and the tacos were as good as I remember. Their chorizo taco diabla style with their green sauce is still my favorite taqueria style taco out of the hundreds I've tried. The asada diabla taco is also in my top 5.

They're not the cheapest, but 3 tacos for 11 or 12 bucks, they're definitely worth paying a little more than you would at a truck or taqueria, which I don't think this place considers itself to be. The menu is mostly strip mall tex-mex with enchiladas, chimichangas, and other assorted combinations of meats, tortillas, and usually white queso sauce, with a few seafood and steak options. I'm sure it's all good. But you're not there for any of that. You're there for what they named the place after, tacos a la diabla, the best tacos I've ever had. I won't wait so long to go...

I like Mexican food. I mean to say, I really like Mexican food. This means that on the one hand, if Mexican food is not authentic or of high quality, I can be pretty critical. On the other hand, when it is really good, there is not much better, in my book. Tacos A La Diabla definitely falls into the latter category. Authentic taste, legitimate spiciness, suitable portions, pretty reasonable prices for meals (drinks were a bit high in my opinion). I had the huevos rancheros with tortillas, beans and rice. Simple? Yes. Simply exquisite. The server was very friendly and kind, thoughtful and smiling and patient with our lack of knowledge of the menu items. The decor was surprisingly chic considering the outside looked very "strip mall" ordinary. If I must complain, the service was a bit slow...but well worth the wait. Pro Tip There is a very nice selection of beverages, both alcoholic and otherwise and a variety of cocktails. We came for lunch so we abstained from libations but I may have to find my way back for dinner soon and put my temperance and teetotaling ways to rest.

I was so disgusted by the barbacoa tacos! They don't specify that they are made of goat, i ordered 3 only ate one and the one i ate was mostly skin, the smell got to me. The barbacoa tacos i eat are beef and these weren't beef. When I told the waitress about it she seemed to get annoyed instead of apologizing. Will not be going there again! I wasn't trying to get a free meal out of it, she didn't charge us for 1 taco, which we didn't really care we were going to pay for the full meal. I looked at the menu afterwards to see if it said that the barbacoa was made with goat and it didn't say.

Very clean restaurant, mandatory masks, and plenty of space for distancing. We had takeout dinners (Burrito Diabla and Chicken fajitas). Both dishes were generously portioned, as seen in pics. The fajitas came with ingredients separated into two trays, keeping everything fresh and not skimping on meats. I love the quality of ingredients. GF and I added our own limes, that's the only thing missing. They gave us El Yucateco sauce to go, which is one of the best habenero sauces you can get at an affordable restaurant. Can't wait to try more dishes!
