It was my first time coming to this place leaving Andy's nail shop. I was greeted and handed a menu to place my to go order. I ordered and paid for my food and took a seat while I waited for my food . I received my food and proceeded to my car thinking I'm about to dive in because I was starving. I looked up and a lady is outside my car window. I'm not sure if the lady was a manager but I'm sure she was . She asked me if I received my food and I said yeah and showed her the food . She said I needed to come back in and pay. I told her I did pay and she said let me see receipt. I'm digging in my pockets to recover it but I noticed I didn't get one and I only had the change from my order. She asked again let me see receipt . I told her I didn't receive one . She told me I need to come back in and pay . I just looked at her as she kept telling me I need to pay . I got back out my car and just handed her the bag . She snatched it away from me and I followed her back inside. I just asked her if I could have my money back as we headed back inside . The young lady that took my payment and the young man that handed me my food looked very confused. One said wait what happened and the other said I'm sorry and just handed me a 20 back. The older lady that came and harassed me asking for a receipt just walked to the back with the food and I believe she's the one who told the person at the register to just give me my money back even though she was dead wrong. She was very rude and her attitude was nasty . She didn't apologize or anything . My mind was blown because you don't approach somebody like that . I couldn’t give zero stars but at least the cashier and the person that handed me my food felt bad...

Really happy we tried this place. There have been a few restaurants that have come and gone at this location. Hoping this one does well. I had the Pollo Chorizo, and it was outstanding. Liked it so much, I took my wife there the next night. She got the Chili Verde, and I had the Chili Colorado. The Verde was better, but both were very good. I plan to be a regular from now on.

UPDATE: this has become my favorite restaurant. It is a family run place, that has such great traditional Mexican food. The family is really great, as well as their other staff. I have tried so many dishes here, and they have all been really good. We like it so much, that I was sure to support them all through the tough COVID times. I am so glad they're doing well. I wish them many years of success to come. We do love to support our local, family-owned businesses. This one just happens to be...

This place is very hit or miss. We used to go more often. The owners (man & wife) are always friendly and greet. However, the one server has the most dry personality, it’s bizarre? I have barely ever seen him crack a smile. He always acts inconvenienced if you ask for anything, will pause and just look at u and nod. I always wonder I can’t be the only one that has noticed this, or if any other customers have complained about him? He makes it an awkward experience. I would imagine the owners knows surely he wasn’t hired based off his warm inviting customer service skills haha? ? The food is just ok to me, kind of sloppy. They are close to me so sometimes it’s just convenience. I’m such a ppl person and love to conversate so it’s always a akward experience when he...

Taqueria Restaurant Vargas real Mexican food does not disappoint. The Margarita special at 2.99 for a 12oz was definitely above average, priced right, and will rock you. I would say, the Margarita was probably the brightest spot on the menu overall for the quality, and price. The chips and salsa were good. Chips were same quality and most likely "bagged" ....while the Salsa is better than most restaurants, but still can't compare to Chuy's who has the freshest and best in business. The main meal "chicken quesadilla" was very good and priced competitive at 14.99. I will say for a nice Mexican meal that is under $22 overall a rounded meal, you can't go wrong. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to all our friends, family, and followers. Rating 4+ out of 5.

When looking for a Mexican restaurant that serves homemade Mexican food, this is the epitome of that description! The shrimp cocktail (aka) Coctel de Camaron was fresh, tangy and not to mention full of that rich tomato'ey flavor that it possesses. The tacos were also packed with meat, sprinkled with a bunch of cilantro and the good ole fashioned diced onions. I highly recommend this place if you aren't wanting to waste your time at some garbage Tex-Mex restaurant. Lastly, the two drinks that I received were great. The Piña drink that I had was rich in flavor but definitely sweet. Perfect for me. Give this place a try and don't expect Tex-Mex. Expect friendly customer service and a Mexican vibe! Sincerely, a guest from Louisiana.
