The Chaparral Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Decided to try the neighborhood Bar & Grill. I doubt we will be back. Ordered a beer and a coke. No napkins, both sweated a lake on table. We ordered. Waited over 32 mins to get a cheeseburger/fries, breaded chicken sandwich (which was 2 breaded chicken fingers placed on a bun/onion rings, breaded mushrooms and jalapeno poppers. Breaded mushrooms were ice cold and the rest of the food was warm, not hot. It tasted ok, nothing to brag about. Not sure why it took so long as we were the only people who were eating and everything but the burger was cooked in a fryer. Waitress tells us as she's handing us our bill and being, that if she was a cook, she'd be spitting on food as her patience with people was dwindling as she ages. Two couples sat down and the pub table next to us, apparently my husband offended one of the guys as they drew us into their conversation, not the other way around. I guess the "regulars" don't want newbies. Not a problem, we can take our business and our tips elsewhere as I'm sure the regulars aren't tipping 20% on their booze tabs. Always have a good time here. The food is above average for a bar, and worth the wait because it doesn't get ready fast. We always have to walk up to the bar to get our drinks and clear our table when we have too many empty bottles. I have only been here through the week for lunch or drinks after work and not on weekends. The bar itself is large enough to spread out, there's 3 pool tables and maybe 7 dartboards, a decent outdoor patio, and a big center bar. There's also cramped parking on both sides of the building. The service is the only struggle here, if they had a second bartender/server on weeknights and you were given cutlery and condiments with your food this place would get 5...
