MY FAMILY IS A GOOD AND FAITHFUL CUSTOMER. TODAY I ORDERED A 30.00 PLUS.. GRILLED RED SNAPPER DINNER. I ADDED A JAR OF OYSTERS AND A HALF OF POUND OF SCALLOPS. I DONT LIVE IN LA. MY FAMILY DOES. TODAY THE OYSTERS HAD A SPOILED TASTE. THE SCALLOPS WERE GRILLED. THEY WERE NOT COOKED LONG ENOUGH.
THE COOK SAID BRING THEM BACK. HE WILL PUT THEM BACK ON THE GRILL. OMG DURING A "PANDEMIC". THE WORLD IS WEARING A MASK. WHY WOULD BIG FISH WANT TO RISK SPEARING COVID ??
I THOUGHT THEY'D SAY COME BACK AND THEY WOULD REPLACE MY ORDER. WELL I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW OFTEN THEY PUT EATEN FOOD BACK ONTO THE OPEN GRILL? NEVER WASHING IS DOWN. THIS FISH STORE IS IN THE HEART OF A BLACK COMMUNITY. THE STAFF IS Hispanic. THEY WOULD NOT GO TO Beverly HILLS. San Dimas NOR.. ANY OTHER PROMINENT AREA. THEY WOULD NOT DARE PUT ALREADY EATEN FOOD, BACK ON THE GRILL. I FIND THIS DIRTY AND UNCLEAN BEHAVIOR.
PRIOR TO THIS EXPERIENCE, I GAVE THEM 5 SHINNING STARS. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, COWORKERS HAVE EATEN HERE. I CANT TAKE THE CHANCE. I WONT BE GOING BACK. I WAS OFFENDED AT THE RESOLUTION THEY OFFERED. Read moreI will stick to my regular places. My wife found Big Fish and said that she wanted to give them a try. I realize that I am here on a Friday but this place has the worst workflow I have ever seen. The woman working the register is slower than molasses in the winter with confirming phone orders and taking the payments and when it comes to bagging the orders and getting them out the door? well pretty much the same. The guy expediting (or trying to) spends more time trying to appease people that have been waiting than actually getting the things put together properly. If you don't call in your order you have to go to the right side where the fish counter is (unless you know you don't). Then you back over to clueless at the register and wait in line to pay. Now here is the fun part you wait.. and wait.. and... Well you get the picture. Read moreThe Fish was ok, and the fries were awful. However what was most disturbing was that they all had on gloves that they NEVER CHANGED! They gloves were used to mip floors, take out the teash, weigh the fish, open doors, cook the fish, etc. Without changing gloves in between. I mean the cashier's gloves were worn to the point her lovely coffin nails had bustd through the gloves that she never changed to pick up the fish from the case and weigh it and those same gloves rwmaines on to charge me at the cashier hand me the receipt and then same gloves for the next customer. All of them wore the same unchanged gloves the whole time, FOR EVERYTHING!!! Their only redeeming value was the customer service. Everyone was very courteous and polite hence the 2 stars.
