Always good but it seems as though they only bake a certain amount for the day and after that they are perfectly comfortable with being sold out of select items.
I can respect it. Places like this are usually required to toss what they don't sell at the end of the day like donut shops. So I suspect they prefer not to waste food.
The closer toward closing time you go, the less options you will have to choose from. If they have a dozen different options at opening, expect maybe 2 or 3 at closing.
The cookies seem smaller as of this writing 8/17/21. That is a bit concerning to me because if they are skimping on the doe it's possible they are cutting corners on the quality.
At times you can tell that the quality is lacking. It may be because of the cook. Not sure.
I can say that the employees are always helpful and courteous but you can tell they don't particularly enjoy working there. From time to time the transaction will go off without a greeting or a thanks at the end which I don't mind but does speak to the culture within the establishment.
That might be the reason for the new faces I see every so often. I don't know for sure what is going on in the employment area of this place but wild guess, this isn't a long term gig for anyone that...
Read moreI have only been here a few times. I've tried the Peach Cobbler and I found myself having to doctor it up once I got home. Not enough peaches Not enough soft crust Not enough flavor, needs more everything, Salt, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, vanilla flavor and or butter flavor. Overpriced, Overpriced, Definitely Overpriced. The mini is too mini 6.The medium is not large enough for the price The large is just plain insane price wise. I've also tried the Peanut Butter cookies. They are not rich tasting at all, there are no peanuts, but the cookie looks like you want to try it. I have not tried the Oatmeal raisin because it looks dried out and stale. The cookie is thin not thick looking and I did not see any coconut in the cookie.
I wanted to try the 7-up cake, Potato pie and the Keylime pie but the prices are way too expensive for the size of these items.
Most of there customers that visit this establishment seem to be people of color. Larger size portions and lower prices would be appreciated once the receipes have been improved. Some of us do like to eat to our hearts content!! When a customer leaves your place of business, they should feel satisfied, not slighted...
Read moreThe Mexican/Hispanic girl that was working on April 25, 2023, around 2:20pm was very rude and had terrible customer service. She is like that everytime I come there. I come there two to three times per week. Everytime I come there, I spend $15-$25 for cookies, pie, cobbler and cake. That day I had a bulk order, and I asked her if she could put the different types of cookies in separate bags as they were going to different people. She then proceeded to tell me not to tell her how to do her job. After that, she told me that the company does not put cookies in separate bags. Then I asked for the managers name and number and she told me she was unable to do that. While she was putting the cookies in the bag, she had an attitude and was putting her fist in her other hand like she wanted to hit me. In general, she has bad customer service, and it makes me not want to patronize the business or send people there anymore. I would rather use more gas and spend more money at Torrance Bakery then to shop at this business and deal with the terrible customer service. In addition the people I know who do bulk orders twice a month will be told of these customer...
