Two of us got there for breakfast around ten. Two other tables were there, not busy at all. I ordered French toast, bacon, and fried green tomatoes. My guest ordered an omelet and crispy home fries. It took over half an hour for our order to be taken. Even longer for our food. At this point we were here an hour. Finally my guest gets her order. Potatoes had been sitting around a while. Finally I get fried green tomatoes which were horrible. They forgot I ordered French toast and bacon. Ten mins or so later I get my French toast, no bacon. Asked for syrup, server forgot and had to remind her so my toast was cold. Mind you, there was barely anyone in the restaurant. The food was not very good and service terrible. So before we left I bought every kind of pastry behind the glass. All we're terrible couldn't even eat them. They had no flavor and so stale, the textures were awful. I've never written a review for a restaurant before but this whole experience was so bad I had to. I'm so disappointed at the money I spent here, I'll never go back and told everyone I knew how bad it was all around. Wait no, their tea was good. I still left a good tip because I understand the server still has...
Read moreWent yesterday our server was Crystal Sue. Very sweet, very funny woman. Handled my grumpy elderly father in law who was definitely not being very polite incredibly well. I asked if I could have my fries upgraded to bacon cheese fries with my Reuben and she happily went to ask for me, was incredibly attentive to our table the entire time, and the plate of bacon cheese fries was absolutely amazing, I have never had so much bacon or cheese on my fries anywhere else I’ve been when it’s something I always order, and the portion was so large I didn’t have room to eat my Reuben and had to take it to go but even several hours later was still delicious. We also bought pinwheels and croissants to go and they were also delicious by the next morning, and Crystal also happily got me another drink when I didn’t like my tea ( there wasn’t anything wrong with the tea I just like my tea teeth achingly sweet) and for a sit down lunch for 3 people with massive portions it was only 36$. Would highly recommend and would love to come back when they go to back to full menu. The hospitality, food and...
Read moreTook 5 minutes to be seated, was not busy.
Host sat me and took my drink order. 5 minutes later with nothing and my server came and asked me what I would like to drink.
After the remodel this place appears to be a lot more plain, and has a lot less soul than before.
I got the German breakfast skillet. The potatoes had absolutely no spice at all. So just plain potatoes cheese onions and bacon were not very appealing. Couldn't finish it. I got my food pretty quickly, at 11:00. No one spoke to me once until 11:30. No one came up and asked the refill my coffee or ask how the food was. No one asked if I needed anything.
To top it off after I just asked for the check and nothing else it still took 5 minutes to get that.
And again this is all while the restaurant was half empty. The prior restaurant was twice as fast and always had a line going out the door.
We all miss cinnamon sticks. This place can go. Many better places in Inverness for breakfast. Spend your...
