Huddle House — Restaurant in Inverness

Avoid Huddle house in inverness Florida. We went there last night to eat and as soon as we walked in the lady said did church just let out I said no are you open she said yes we close at 8 now it's only 7 o'clock and the whole time all we heard was them complaining about how they close at 8 well we ordered our food and it came out piece by piece not even our whole plate of food all together and my one year old granddaughters pancake was one of the last things to come out so I asked the server is she doing this on purpose because all she did was complain at one point she said they're lucky I didn't walk out when they walked in and our server said why would you walk out they came in at 7 we are open until 8. At one point the server (manager) came to fill the tea glasses and she said this is the last of the tea so sip it.. Another couple came in behind us then a table of three. our server told me the cook was overwhelmed well what does she do when it's my daughter walked out with my granddaughts because the little one was over it at this point and when Another customer came in they told him we are closing and that cook said well they keep going in and out so they unlocked the door. We were so over it I said I'm fixing to show my a**so my daughter and I go to pay for our food and I said can I have the Managers number she said I am the Manager my daughter said you mean your the Manager and you put up with that and let that little girl talk and act that way and she said my sister is the owner and I'm going to her house when I leave here to talk about this and I said I have never been to a place to eat and felt so uncomfortable this to totally uncalled for I said I'm a Manager too were I work and this would never happen we treat our people with respect. I told the Manager we have been here before she said I remember you guys.Then when she saw I didn't tip her she showed me the receipt and said I don't get a tip I said talk to her about your tip she said that's not my fault I said your the Manager it is your fault. As we were walking out she said really loud that's not my fault I said your the Manager it is your fault. This isn't even the whole story of what we dealt with in there but they should have paid us to eat there. I have never went out to eat and not left a tip there was no way I was tipping the food was awful and we were so disrespected by not only the girl cooking but the so called manager as well. We will never eat...

I feel like I need to share what just happened to myself and my family at dinner tonight. We have never been to the huddle house in Inverness because and we decided to try it. At first the waitress took her time coming over but seemed nice throughout the ordering. Then comes the food and we don’t see her for a while basically when we’re done asking if we wanted more to drink ok mind you I ordered a waffle and the butter never melted (even after I paid) everyone’s food was cool or cold the meat tasted off ect but because our waitress didn’t seem worried about us and stayed on the other side of the restaurant I figured let’s just pay and go. My daughter and I walked up to pay when she printed off my bill to my surprise was $57(pic in comments) against my better judgement and the fact that I wanted out of there I paid but I decided to tell our waitress about all the problems and then went back to the table to show her. Now I wasn’t asking for a discount or free food but I felt she should know we were not happy. She really didn’t care turned away from me and said have a good day while I was still trying to talk to her (that’s just rude in my book) anyway I left but called and asked for the managers name so I can discuss with her she told me her name but not when she would be available for me to talk to (so here’s a guessing game) and told me that she took pictures of our food to cover her own a** (double rude) anyway I’m sorry for the super long post but I just wanted to let anyone know that has never been there what to expect. Besides the lack of customer service and quality of food (hot would be nice) the prices were unreal for what we got (yes I saw some of the prices but I didn’t look at everything but when you charge $3.30 for 3 pieces of bacon as a side come on 🤦‍♀️) and I just don’t want someone else to get blind sided like we did. Wow, you start out looking forward to going out for breakfast and don't expect to end up having an unpleasant experience where it feels like all hell broke loose. Came here about 12:15 PM Saturday March 30th. Ordered a breakfast meal with eggs over medium and added that that means whites fully cooked. Meal comes, but no toast. Two minutes later the server returns, and my companion asks for the toast. Five minutes later the toast is delivered. So now my companion opens the eggs over medium he ordered. The whites are raw inside and looked watery. He calls the server over and she says she'll order new eggs, but leaves the meal sitting there which is now getting colder and less fresh by the minute. We decide to leave and walked over to pay. Server says I'm getting your eggs and he says I'd like to pay the bill and you keep your eggs. The response was nothing short of a launch of pure anger and defensiveness by the staff. I realize that there are lots more incidents of customer's inappropriate behavior these days, but as regular people with no such intentions, it seemed a shocking overreaction to a genuine lack of even basic good service. I never said a word. The server said for us to get out and don't come back. There was a male staff member who was behind me who also chimed in to not come back and that is when I began to feel afraid. It's hard to capture how loud and scary and out of control it felt. I genuinely feel traumatized by the experience. As to the food, I got a couple bites of pancakes before we were thrown out for not accepting poor service and a lot of cocked and loaded attitude. They were dry and overcooked. I'm sure glad I didn't complain. It was very unappetizing when I noticed how dirty the door and window glass was when we walked in; I wished we'd turned around right...
