El Charro of Iola — Restaurant in Iola

This has been they worst experience I have had with el charro with so called new management we have had every birthday of the family there and have never had an issue with portions and especially the taco salad is normal stuffed to the brim and this is hardly any thing and my stepmom would also agree because she loves there taco salad what is worse with this is we tried explaining to the manager what the problem was with the order and then said she would call the cops and would not refund even the taco salad let alone the other issues with other items in the order such as nothing was marked or labeled one bag of chips with 5 cups of salsa even though we got four on-trays so another bag of chips would of been nice along with my s.o saying the chimichanga was not worth it so point Not as good as in the restaurant The service was worse then in the restaurant And did not want to fix the issue so here I am putting it out in the open ware they can’t call the cops for me complaining on an 82 dollar order and I refuse to go there any more and I will tell everyone i know to do the same since they can’t keep quality in the restaurant vs take out. Cute restaurant, clean, comfortably cool but not freezing, which is a plus. Our waiter was nice, brought everything out quickly, did a good job. Only one container of salsa for 4 people, had to keep requesting more. Hugely disappointed in our margaritas. Very bland mix, even the salt rim was off. Couldn't drink it all, and my friends was worse. I had a house margarita, salt and lime, she had a standard frozen margarita, her husband tasted it and hated it. We should have sent them back, but didn't have the time. Their meals weren't good either. My chicken fajitas were pretty standard fare, tasted good, plenty of meat, but the beans and rice weren't very good. My husband had the Enchiladas Charro I believe they were called, three enchiladas with three different sauces on top, which he said were good. Nice enough place but not great food or drinks. I had read a good review, but Sunday night was not a good night. Really disappointed 'cuz I love a good Margarita. Maybe we will try it again next time we go through, but not...

I LOVE THE DINNER FOR TWO ON THE MENU... IT'S LIKE MAKE YOUR OWN FAJITAS WITH A COMBINATION OF DIFFERENT MEATS AND SEAFOOD COOKED TOGETHER WITH ONIONS AND GREEN PEPPER... I ALWAYS ASK THEM TO ADD SOME FUNGUS, ERHMM , I MEAN MUSHROOMS TO MINE... LOL But seriously, I really believe that you get more food for your bucks by this meal... I have yet to meet any couple who could eat all of it without taking a little home!!! Heheh I usually just place the order by phone and its usually ready for pickup within 10-20 minutes+YUMM COMES WITH GUACAMOLE, RICE, BEANS, SALAD-PICO DE GALLO, AND EIGHT TORTILLAS, STEAMED NOT microwaved to be hot 🤗 And if dining in, while you're waiting, homemade chips and salsa- endless supply!!! So, I expect to see all of you there on Cinco de Mayo 2023 !?! !?! !?! And don't forget to buy me a strawberry margarita for the great recommendation!!!...
