Addition: I came back tonight, ordered take out, because I did not get to order what I wanted last visit. I stood at the counter for 5+ minutes with a girl standing at the register who did not look up and make eye contact, she walked away. A minute or or so later another girl, I assume relation to ownership came up. I stood there a couple minutes and finally spoke up hey can I get my food, addressed I've been standing there unnoticed. The lady apologized, I appreciate that.
However I'm currently eating my cold meal, which doesn't taste like the last time I had emperors chicken. I will not be back, if it is going to become consistently bad service I will not spend my money here. Simply if the first or second person at the register would have looked at me and said, we are doing paperwork (or whatever was consuming their attention) thank you for your patience I wouldn't be annoyed. I considered walking out, and finding something else to eat. Customer service needs work.
Original July 2023: I came in tonight with a friend and her 2 kids. We intended to get a couple menu items and split the bill. After about 10 minutes the server popped in ask what we want to drink, and the kids ages, then said something to the effect we can reduce buffet cost, then darted away after about 30 seconds total. She came back with our drinks and bill. Never in my life have I had a server tell me what I'm getting. My friend just went with it and offered to pay.I will not be dining in again.
The buffet was consistently running out of things while the building was half full, the emperor's chicken and ribs tasted like they were hoisan sauce and nothing else, some what chalky, I got some of the desert puffs, I don't think any of them were marked correctly. Read moreIt was beautiful, and the servers were plenty friendly. The food was mediocre, at best. It only had two stations for their buffet and one was just for salads! Their chicken was slimey, chewy, and - I could be wrong - it looked undercooked. I didn't chance eating it with that texture anyway. Their crab rangoons were so under filled that they were just hard all over. I didn't eat the sushi in fear it would be the same as the chicken or the rangoons. I didn't have the ice cream, but I was told it was no good.
For three adults, and a baby, buffet with just water to drink came to $50!! That's outrageous for the lack of options and the lack of quality of the food. This was the first time we came here, as the one in our town is shut down for repairs, and we will likely...
