Elida's Bakery — Restaurant in Iowa City

I would give Elida’s Bakery six stars if I could. I cannot recommend them enough! We ordered cupcakes and a cake through Elida for our wedding. There were so many flavor combinations and the process went so smoothly. Not only were they visually appealing, but they tasted INCREDIBLE. We received so many compliments! The service was outstanding. I later learned they had three other weddings the same day, and despite it being such a busy day, they arrived right on time and set up a beautiful display.

We searched for this bakery on Google maps while shopping in the Iowa City/Coralville area hoping to pick up a sweet treat for our Grandmother on our way back home (near Davenport, IA)

Was suprised that the bakery was in a mobile home park on the outskirts of Iowa City. It looked like it would have been a cute, quirky shop filled with tasty treats.

Had Google Maps mentioned this was a in-home bakery and the hours are subject to pre-orders & pickups only we would have ordered ahead.

I called Elida's Bakery with a special request, to prepare gender reveal cupcakes for my husband and I. From the very first conversation, Elida was kind and incredibly accommodating....she was the only bakery in town that would allow us to deliver results in the morning and have cupcakes ready by the afternoon! And boy are we glad that this led us to her shop. The cupcakes were divine and beautifully decorated. She took great care in keeping it a surprise and expressed genuine excitement for us.
