Spud's Bistro — Restaurant in Iron Mountain

EDIT: there is now no reason to go to this place. They changed owners, and Gina sold it to the people who own Spuds. The tenderloin, which I thought was even better than the one at Chicago Cut, is no longer any good. It’s obvious they’ve changed their meat supplier, are selling far inferior quality meat, and to add insult to injury, they’ve raised the prices on the inferior food products. The recipes are different and it’s NOT WORTH IT. Long live Gina Marie’s. To see what this place used to be like, please see my original review below.

Beautiful, gorgeous place. There's a gazebo out front that is so adorable. It's surrounded by woods, so cell phone service is iffy, but you won't even miss your phone, I PROMISE. There are deer in the woods that just walk around, close enough to see very well. I ordered an 8oz tenderloin (medium rare) with mushrooms, and it was AMAZING. The mushrooms were fresh, and the steak was the best I've had in my entire life, and I've been to some pretty fancy steakhouses and had some pretty amazing (including aged) cuts of beef. But NOTHING has come close to the steak here. If they sell it, whoever buys it NEEDS TO BUY THE RECIPES. This steak is basically orgasmic. Service was excellent; our waitress was a sweetheart. So so glad I came here. I'll be dreaming...

This place has really good food, and definitely would go back. The only issue is the clarity of one of their items on their menu. Under the Steaks and Burgers section it says that all dinners include a salad, breadstick, and choice of side.

I ordered the cheeseburger and it isn't clear that the burgers don't come with a salad and breadstick. I heard that burgers only came with a side of fries but I was able to get one of the other sides that were listed in that section, which is good. Really not sure why burgers aren't considered as a dinner to qualify for a salad and breadstick when I was able to get another side besides the fries though.

All I'm saying is on the menu it looks like the burgers come with a salad and breadstick like the other items listed in that section. If burgers aren't supposed to come with those items, then they should make it more clear on the menu. Otherwise the food is very good as well as...

Update September 15, 2018 Spud's Bistro I was going to take my wife out for her birthday tonight, checked the reviews and was turned off by the owners comment to a previous review. You DO NOT call your customers a FOOL. Also if you are going to slam someone, it has more effect if you spell correctly. ie....STRAIGHT So we are now going to go retry T and T.

This Review for Gina Marie's..... This place is above 5 stars. Troy's ribeye is awesome, homemade raviolis awesome, whiskey old fashions awesome. If you go there that's what to order. I order same thing every time. You actually can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
