Giovanni's Pizza — Restaurant in Ironton

Ordered a large pizza and a small dinner for delivery at 9:14pm on a Sunday. At 10:05 I called to ask when my food would be at my house, the young man on the phone was rude and said it was going out soon. At 10:31 my food still hadn’t arrived and the boy said it would get there when it gets there, and hung up on me. A 40 second phone call. We called back at 10:37 because that’s no way to talk to a customer, and we were sent to a “supervisor”. Two minute phone call. It was a few minutes before 11pm that my food finally showed up. The delivery driver was very nice and apologized about the wait.

The pizza was cold. I don’t mean it had just cooled off a bit, it was cold. The center was cold, the edges, everything. The cheese had even gone back to that cold pizza texture. I called to talk to a manager today and the phone rings forever, then goes to a voicemail box that isn’t accepting messages. I spent over 30 dollars for cold food with a nearly 2 hour wait. If this is how this restaurant wishes to go about treating their customers, then my money will be spent elsewhere. Not even worth a star took my kids there for there birthday nobody wore gloves or hair nets man was making pizza right in front of everyone with no gloves on kneading pizza dough and putting hi dirty hands straight in to the cheese bag then to beat it all my daughter ate a hair off of her pizza told staff all they did was give her the buffet for free not worth it considering she didn't even eat after that then the manager had the nerve to say it happens all the time so you just admitted to me people find hair in there food all the time all around gross had to watch my child pull a hair out of her throat it was the most disgusting place I have...

If you don't know, Giovanni's is an Italian restaurant that delivers. This location is pretty darn good. The buffet (some locations have buffets) is kept fresh and this location likes putting slices of hoagie sandwiches (chicken, beef, ham) on the buffet, and they are good. The staff are nice and the waitresses keep on their toes for the most part. They can't help it when it gets busy. The only drawback--and it ISN'T really a drawback, more of a difference between locations-- is that the Ashland location has slightly better fountain drinks. But only slightly, because Ashland's fountain drinks are Perfectly Mixed. Close to perfection is...
