I dont mean to bash the servers because they did what they could do to serve us exc we t one who seemed angry and didnt really want tl work there. Also there were total of 4 servers for all the patrons and obviously understaff. This is espcially because k bbq, they cook and cut meats, which we didnt need them to but they did it anyway but ignored other requests.
I don't get why such high rating for this k-bbq. We ordered large beef combo, which they claim for upto 4 people. We are not big eaters but there is no way. It was may be for 3or even 2 people.
Beef quality and taste were not that great. Banchans were ok to mediocre. Again the meat portions were so small, we needed up ordering two combos and had to finish all the rice and soups that came along.
Spicy squids were like $20 but portion was little more than $8 one from zion market. Kimchi pancake was under cooked, under seasoned, and not enough kimchi in it. I made quick version of it when we came back home for the friends I was treating because I felt so bad. They thought my kimchi pancakes were 100 times better and I'm not even a great cook.
There is no way Korean would think this bbq place is good enough to go back. People should spend money on other established k bbq places with long history and...
Read moreHonestly, this is the best KBBQ spot in Irvine! It's isn't all you can eat, but it's always quality over quantity with me, baby. The cool thing about this spot is that they have a wide selection of soju options - even sugar-free options. We decided to go with a Jinro sugar-free option to share amongst the three of us. My husband and friend decided to order the Small Beef & Pork Combo at $98. It included boneless short rib, brisket, rib finger, and pork belly. All the combos come with soybean soup, side dishes, and sauces. The banchan options were fishcake, kimchi, pickled radish wraps, bean sprouts, mung bean jelly, and cucumber kimchi. and We also ordered the cheesy steamed eggs as an appetizer. And usually if places offer it, I love ordering cold buckwheat noodles to complement my meal. Super glad that they offer the option here! Everything was delicious. I love the quality of all the meats. The small combo was the perfect amount for the 3 of us. Our service was great. The space is pretty big too, so it's great for small and big parties. It opens pretty late...
Read moreMy family and I were visiting from out of town over Thanksgiving and we needed a place to grab dinner one night - we stumbled upon this place after doing a quick search and we’re so glad we did. My parents and grandma were so impressed with all the banchans (especially the kimchi - which says a lot about a Korean restaurant). The service was amazing, so friendly and cooked all of the meats to perfection. We got a large beef combo and a large pork combo for 5 hungry people and that was definitely plenty enough - could feed about 8 people TBH!
The quality of both the beef and pork was A+ and if you like pork belly, definitely don’t miss out - the owner cooked the meat at some point and he explained that none of the meats are frozen. Pork belly melts in your mouth and we were all saying how we want to come back. Wish we lived close so we can...
