Contactless carryout. The app is so pleasant to use. Once you order there’s a biiiig red button that says “I’m here” and the instructions say to press the button when you arrive and someone will bring out your order. Awesome. I arrive. I press the button and go on browsing on my phone. Several minutes go by and no order is delivered. I try to flag down a few delivery drivers as they leave unsuccessfully to ask as out my order because nobody has brought it out. I look again and the button is still there. Huh? Well I guess I never pressed it. I press it again. This time I notice there’s a loading wheel followed by a “sorry something went wrong, please try again” screen. No additional information. Just try again. I do. Again and again. This is obviously it going to work. At this point I’m getting really hungry and my pizzas been sitting inside ready for me for like 15 minutes. Next delivery driver that comes out I honk a couple of times to and ask if he can go get someone to bring my order out please? I may have surprised him but I was polite. I just want my food. He takes my name and goes inside. He comes back out a moment later...pizzaless. He literally went inside and stood right by my pizza, but some high and mighty pathetic excuse for a shift leader told him not to bring it out to me and that I need to call the store to get my order brought out. I went inside to find out who could have made such an idiotic request. She stood behind the line of boxes so I couldn’t even see her, much less have an effective conversation and lectured me on what her delivery drivers were for. Excuse me? Tells me over and over again I’m supposed to call the store. How the f* am I supposed to know that when the app’s delivery page doesn’t say that anywhere? No apology, no excuse for why this driver who could literally see and smell without too much effort lick my pizza couldn’t just bring it to me since their system was down, no decorum at all. Yeah I yelled back at her because she had the gall to lecture me through a crack between prep surfaces, but I find that kind of ignorant self serving behavior completely unacceptable. I considered myself a lifelong customer of this store but the service has been on the decline all year and this was the last straw. I’m done buying...
Read moreThey were quite busy. I was on hold for 9 minutes trying to call ahead but just hung up when I got there. Though no one was in line in front of me to order, it still took awhile before I was waited on to place my order. I am not sure how far down I was but it was awhile before the cooks got to making my order. I observed them making about 5-10 orders ahead of mine and it looked to me like they under sauced and didn't spread it evenly, so when I saw them working on mine I asked for extra sauce. The only reason I called instead of placing my order online was because my previous order was incorrectly prepared and they issued me a $10 credit that I had to phone in to utilize. My pizzas (thin crust) were acceptable but not exceptional. To be forthright, I used to manage a Little Caesar's and another independent Pizza Shop. I am probably more particular than the typical Domino's customer. I observed that the pizzas were not topped uniformly with sauce, cheese, and other toppings. I suspect the quality of the product varies wildly. The staff was busy, but very pleasant. The inclement weather was most likely the cause of them being so busy. I carried mine out but I heard them telling people it was 1.5 - 2 hours for delivery. I checked my pizzas before leaving to make sure they were correct and they were. I am leaving 4 stars because I don't know how...
Read morehmm. I shouldn't be surprised, but yet again, I had a less than savory experience with Domino's. Domino's Pizza (222 N Story Rd, Irving, TX) employees have had an attitude with me for the last time. I placed an order online for pick up but did not see an estimated time that my order would be ready. I scrolled down the page and located the store's number. I called and I was placed on hold by a very unenthusiastic employee. After a bit, someone else got on the phone and I asked my question. She asked for my address and said, "Are you sure you ordered from this store??" I said, "yes, I am sure. I scrolled down the page and got your number... Remember, my order was for pick up, not delivery." She says (with attitude), "oh? pick up? Okay, well whats your phone number?" I give it to her and she almost immediately says, "Yeah, we don't have your order here." I said, "I have the order number. Yes, I ordered from THIS store." And she finally finds it. I asked if my phone number was attached to the order and she says "yeah..." I advised her that she should probably verify via all options before stating that you don't have an order or implying that the patron has randomly found a stores number and has no idea what they are...
