As a gal who'd eat at Whataburger every meal, every day if I didn't know better, I've been to my share of locations. Ordered via the drive thru and there were a few issues. The super sweet lady taking my order couldn't figure out how to ring up the small vanilla shake I wanted, so I agreed to a medium (they're yummy so no biggie). Then, she'd added sausage to my cheddar iscuit sandwich during the order review but I'd asked for egg and cheese only. Finally, I requested a substitute of fries instead of hashbrowns, which was repeated back to me during all 3 reviews of my order. But as I drove away I realized I had - you guessed it - hashbrowns and no fries. Since this location isn't very far from DFW Airport, it's a shame that folks who may either be in a hurry to catch a flight or tired from just getting off one can't trust the staff to get it right. Maybe it's better to go in and order or resolve to double check your food before driving away and be prepared to pull up to the side to wait for the correct items. On a good note, I can say that the ladies at both windows were super sweet. Also, my food was warm (although not hot) and delicious. I don't live nearby and...
Read moreI was craving a no 2 combo with cheese this afternoon so I made my way to this Whattaburger location.
I was greeted warmly at the counter. All fine up to then.
To my shock and horror the price came to $15.01.
I asked the employee if she had perhaps entered an extra item. It seemed overly expensive. She said no. When I looked up at the order board again I noticed prices had been altered, I didn’t argue too much and put this huge spike in price down to inflation.
My debit card wouldn’t read on their register and was asked if I had an alternative card.
By then I grew increasingly more frustrated and cancelled my order.
Feeling perplexed I decided I’d visit the Whattaburger outlet up the road by Grapevine Mills Mall anticipating I’d pay the same price.
Nope the total came to $10.54, a difference of $4.47 for exactly the same order.
Why? This is called greed.
All this has done is alienate from supporting this store, which I might add I’ve been supporting for over 15 years.
Way to...
Read moreJust after 10:30pm on Friday Oct. 2, 2020 I ordered a burger at this restaurant's drive-thru. The price listed was $3.09 on the outside drive up menu board. The cashier at the pick up window asked for $4.05. When I questioned the difference I was informed that the new price was $3.79. They hadn't had an opportunity to change the menu board according to the employee. I explained that they should sell it at the posted price or it could be considered false advertising. The manager was summoned and repeated what the cashier had said but offered to give it to me at the posted price. That's great but then the manager asked for $3.65. When asked how a $3.09 burger became $3.65 he said "tax". When I stated that the tax on $3.09 is not 56 cents he became confused, mumbled something, and looked like he was going to walk away. I think to look for the cashier. Having had enough I said goodnight and drove away. I've never been a big fan of Whataburger and this just...
