Update!!! Aug. 2025 The Bistro Bar & Restaurant closes at 11pm. I ended up losing my original overnight due to weather and ground stop delays in Washington DC so was looking foward to my stay here at the Clarion as it has been nearly a yr since my last visit. It was so nice to see some of my favorite hotel employees. They honestly feel like an extension of my ohana (family). From the front desk, to the Bistro/ Bar restraunt I was welcomed w/ open arms like you are when you haven't seen loved ones such as family members and friends for a long period of time. It was so great to be greeted so personally and truly filled my heart. So to all of those hotel and bistro/ restraunt working employees/ staff and management please know I consider you an extension of my ohana (family) and appreciate the hospitality. Mahalo (Thank you) for making me feel so loved and welcomed back. During this visit it was nice to see Ms. Chante who is all about customer service and providing a great experience when dinning in or even taking out from the Bistro bar/ restraunt. I always look forward to one of her cocktails. During my visit along w/ a cocktail I ordered a ham, turkey w/ provolone croissant sandwich, w/ a side of fresh berries and the house chicken noodle soup. It didn't disappoint. Everything was so tasty and much needed after a long day of flying and no time for eating lol. Anyways... Please enjoy my recent pictures and video uploads. And remember where to go for great care and services.
UPDATE! Oct. 2024 This hotel is one I frequent, and they have nice size, clean rooms, I'm not a fan of the small square pillows. Note that there is a little restraunt bar that can be a little confusing to access. After my recent visit, it has been brought to my attention that the prices at the restaurant have doubled if not tripled. My usual dinner was a ham and cheese sandwich that was originally high at $13 for a simple sandwich, which is now listed at $17. I used to order a bowl of either chicken noodle or tomato soup that was $5-$6, which has increased to now both being $10 each. So w/ that said I decided to order the chicken alfredo for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how creamy it was. It comes with a garlic knot but could use some fresh veggies. Also, for a healthier dietary option, I would substitute for a small cup of fruit, and during my visit, I was told no substitutions. Really? Why, it's less of a hassle and a healthier choice. Also take note that the restraunt bar serves a limited selection of bar food items, alcohol and non alcohol beverages, but all the menu items have gone...
Read moreBistro C Bar & Restaurant just happened to be attached to Clarion Inn & Suites which was my hotel for the weekend while visiting Dallas. I discovered it while taking a brief tour of the hotel prior to getting settled in. I really did not give it any thought to eat a Bistro until the final night of my stay, and that was solely because I did not want to go out. But thankfully, Bistro was located in the annex portion of the building of Clarion Inn; giving me an option rather than something microwavable in the hotel pantry or at Whataburger.
Bistro has a cool, sports bar like appearance with well enough tables & seating whether at its bar, or if you visit with a small or large group. It gives not just those who stay at Clarion Inn an option as an eatery, but those in the Dallas-Fort Worth area too.
Now as for my order I ordered the club sandwich after being borderline with choosing one of their flatbread pizza options. I just wasn't sure of the size of their flatbread pizza and I certainly didn't want to spend a lot on something that is priced over $10 and small. If I would have found pictures I wouldn't have been so hesitant ordering it.
The cashier, Amber wore a few hats as far as jobs she did which I applaud her for. She not only ran the bar, but ran the floor as a waitress too. I wasn't too concerned about when my food would arrive because of that but it did arrive in a timely manner. And the service was nothing short of great.
As for my food, the club sandwich was filling, but that bread, the ciabatta roll just didn't work with me due to its style. Ordering again I'd probably stear clear of it and order something else unless there is an option for a different bread.
On a last note, if I were to stay at Clarion Inn & Suites again I would definitely visit Bistro C Bar & Restaurant because not at all did I have a bad experience. And besides, my only regret was that I didn't visit for breakfast because my taste buds did have a craving for Belgian waffles after seeing it listed on the...
Read more10:49pm, a 48-minute wait for a $10 chicken caesar salad to go, when I have to be on a 6am shuttle to the airport for my second full day of travel. Painful. The server asked me to remind her what I ordered about 30 minutes in, and then when I very unceremoniously was given my takeout bag (no apology or acknowledgement of my wait to me), she asked if I had paid my ticket (?!?). I had paid when I ordered. Really? One of these questions, okay, but not both questions in the same dining experience. Please. It's unprofessional and awkward. I have already endured a long day and don't need this kind of treatment. A couple who came in long after me got their drinks and burgers before I received my salad. I think another restaurant would at least offer me a complimentary beverage while I wait quietly as other patrons get their food first. I have worked in kitchens in the past, and also been the sole server in an establishment as well; however, I do not understand why "we have one oven" translates to a single chicken salad getting forcibly pushed behind all of the other orders. That is the explanation that I overheard when another customer took issue with the wait and got aggravated. She had arrived after me. I had read the bad reviews about this place before coming here and tried to satiate myself before even leaving DFW on the shuttle, but I have no transportation and there is nothing around. Oh well. I would suggest that the server at least shut the kitchen door if she wants to vent to the cook about her personal life and use the F word. Also not professional. I wanted to just cancel my order and go hungry instead, but I have never been put in a position like...
