Was just in with my dad had a little miss understanding about something that happend in the store over 2 years ago and went in today to buy ham and the worker was in there at the time my dad a 61 year old man had a issue with a nother worker at the time and dad told them it was bad ham he tasted on a sandwich and he brought it back and told them they stated he ate half the ham and he said he did not want the ham because it was bad never asked for a replacement the women worker flip out and went in today and tryed to clear things up and owner owner told us to get the f out dont ever come back and my dad said wow 3 times and he said mf er u say wow one more time I'm going to f u up wow this is a business man treating customers and senior citizens like a dog and dad was trying to tell them to resolve the problem thata when things got ugly they followed him out the door taunting and threatening him to kick his butt and we was going there for 2 years and we went there constantly just don't understand why they treated him like that he is 61 taking care of his x wife that needs a liver transplant how can they still be in business when the owner does not no u can't talk to people like that and hurts me to know people could treat my elderly father in such a manner I would not recommend going there one small miss understanding over meat and this could be u so think twice before step threw the doors at your own risk he has been around grovecity since his whole life and everybody know his word is his bond and he is never aggressive or disrespectful...
Read moreFabulous little gem. It is like an old time country store in the middle is a sprawling suburb. Even though it was our first time there they treated us like we were old customers. The only thing they didn't do was call us by our first names 😁. The lady working the front counter is a very welcoming soul. Then there is a very active man that works the deli area that is super nice and offers assistance. Combined they are quite a pleasant and capable duo. The store specializes in Amish or small maker food stuffs. Part of the store is a deli with fresh cut meat and cheeses. I strongly suggest getting the hot italian sub as it is piled with meat and cheese at a very reasonable (i. e. CHEAP) price. We are so glad we did. Their meat and cheese is excellent - so fresh with no preservatives. They sell all kinds of things such as soup, bread, chips, caramel corn, preserves, peanut butter, jarred fruit and meat....the list goes on.
