Amanati's Frosty Boy Inc — Restaurant in Jackson

I have been a customer at the Cooper St. Frosty Boy in Jackson since they first opened in the 70"s and have always been satisfied with the quality of their products. I thought I would treat myself to desert this evening and ordered an "Almond Joy" medium flurry. I was surprised when it was presented so quickly as it usually takes a bit of time to make. After taking a few bites I knew that something wasn't quite right. It's texture and color was different and it had absolutely no chocolate flavor. They make it by adding chocolate cone dip to the concoction which gives it a very light to medium brown color, depending on who makes it of course, with brown colored speckles (which is the dip itself). This hadn't the right appearance, flavor, or texture. The women who made it neglected to add the chocolate. I then drove back with my flurry and approached the order window. I confronted the situation to the person who placed my order. The girl who made my flurry was right there and spoke up stating that she had added the chocolate and that she knows because she made it! I asked her to examine the flurry as absolutely no chocolate was evident! Instead of doing that which would have been the accountable thing to do before of course replacing what I had ordered and paid a whopping $5.51 for, she offered to top it with chocolate sauce or to include a side of chocolate chips. I begrudgingly took the chips and added them. It was terrible and I ended up throwing it away. They should have offered to replace it! Instead she stood there and denied that she had done anything wrong! Does she think she is infallible? What a poor and disappointing lack of resolution. I am not often treated in such a disrespectful patronizing way. Very, very disappointed with her complete lack of accountability and probably won't be going back and taking a chance of throwing good money away.

By the way I think I will try to reach management to report this...

I took the time to read the reviews before my visit and I feel they have been very unfairly and harshly criticized. I made it to the drive thru at 7:53 p.m. with 2 cars ahead of me however I didn't get to the service window until 8:02p.m. as I drive up I clearly hear them yell food service has ended. I joked that I was just reading the reviews and they meant business with an end time of 8:00p.m. so I would skip my request for a walking taco. I still got an amazing slushy and a parfait and that walking taco too! This place is clearly a very popular busy location and after a long day they still have to clean up before they can go home. Close is 8:00! Be gracious if they continue to serve any time past 8:00p.m. Thank you to the staff keep up the good work and we will definitely see you next time we...

Low key expensive. Like DQ... But you expect the knockoff 2 be a little cheaper. It's not. But it's every bit as good as DQ or any other Ice Cream spot(not "handles" though). Knock off in name only. If you get the turtle... Kiss your diet goodbye & pray 4 will power 2 not go back everyday. The Pecans are out of this world. Family owned... Pretty certain. Friendly & always makes it with a smile & never cheats you out of a serving. Perfect 4 any day. Drive thru is convenient but feel like I'm pulling into someone's home more so then a business. Tight in a Truck....
