Art 634 — Attraction in Jackson

Jackson has needed a place like Art 634 for a VERY long time! A place where artists can come together to create. A place where really cool and unique programs and shows are happening all the time for all ages. It’s in a very eclectic space within a building first built in the late 1800’s that has been completely restored to its original beauty. It is also a great place for weddings, birthdays, a backdrop for senior portraits, or any other life event you have going on. You can rent spaces ranging from small studios to the huge Carriage Factory! The in-house artists and shops are always amazing and you can always find that unique gift or work of art you’ve been looking for. Just go to meander around the galleries, you’ll certainly run into a resident artist or the owners, and check out what new and crazy things...

Recently attended two events one day wedding and won an open house for a graduation. Very interesting venue great nostalgic and historic appeal. it appears that it is set up so you bring your own caterer and do your own decorating. If that's your thing then that's great. The wedding I came to brought in portable toilets to help accommodate lack of close restroom facilities as it is a walk to them....They are in another part of the building. The wedding had the doors open so that window air conditioners had to work overtime but the open house was very cool and very comfortable. Happened upon this amazing gallery and collection of studios on our way through Jackson, and we're so glad we stopped in!

The decor is fantastic, and the people are even better! The friendly resident dog greets all visitors with a sniff, and kisses if you're lucky.

The art on display was simply gorgeous, and we look forward to going back when more of the artists are in their studios, so we can watch them work.

The building itself is a work of art, beautifully restored.
