We make a point to patronize black business as the only way to build our communities is to invest and also patronize them as the presence of beautiful, educated, minority consumers is important when changing the perception of an area. Today we went to “Hattie’s Chicken and Waffles”. Is conveniently located off the i20 exit minutes from “The JSU” main campus. The decor in establishment was quaint with an nostalgic ambiance in the heart of the city. It has an awesome patio (me and my friends, we love a patio) and great music. It was an entire vibe. Read moreTook 1.5 hrs to get our online order for 8 plates(cannot call in to go orders). The location is terrible and when they are behind people start parking everywhere. After I finally received our food I was blocked in by another person having to wait for 20 more minutes. Worst part was getting back to discover half the orders were incorrect and entrees we never ordered.
Would have given 1 star, but the food was actually pretty good. However, I will never return due to the location and poor (but friendly) service. Do not come here unless you have alot of time to kill for good...

This was my first time trying Nashville Hot chicken and let me tell you…. I was licking my fingers!
