I stopped at jacks on my way to work this morning for breakfast, when I turned in I noticed several vehicles parked in the parking lot and 3 past the window all waiting for their food. I should have left then but I was early and wanted to get some breakfast sandwiches for myself and a coworker; after ordering 3 big breakfast sandwiches with no one behind me I was going to wait prior to the window to give them a chance to catch up because it was obvious they were way behind. The lady leaned out the window and motioned for me to come on up and I did. my total was $14.26 I gave her a 20 and she gave me my water I ordered and my change, 5.74. She then tells me to pull over into the parking lot and park, now there's no one behind me and at this time there's 6 people waiting for their food. Calmly and respectfully I said, maam can I ask you a question, she said yes and I said why do you send so many people over here to park and allow more people to pull in thinking the line is empty just making more work for yourself, she rudely replies I've got to get you off my timer! I said well what happens if I refuse to pull up? She says we will call the police. An awkward brief silence passed, and I saw another lady bringing food out to a couple of the vehicles and I said when this vehicle in front of me moves up I will move up to the end of the porch. So, I moved up just as I said I would and about 1 minute later the lady from the window came out and handed me a 20$ bill and said we are out of Texas toast and told me to leave. So, I left. I understand that the purpose of the timer is for the manager and or owner to grade how well the employees are moving the customers through the line, but when your backed up and you take people's money and park them in the parking lot your deceiving people who are considering stopping at your establishment for food because they see the line is clear when in reality there's 6 people waiting past the window parked in the parking lot. If I was the owner of an establishment such as Jacks in Jackson Alabama, I would want to know that my employees are falling behind for whatever reason. Once I pulled two cars up at most that's where it would stop. I'm very unhappy with today's events and will likely find somewhere else to spend my money...
Read moreAn associate peaks out from around the wall asking if we needed to order. The cashier who rang us up slurped her drink the whole time. The place is trashed. We asked the manager to please clean off a table so that we could sit down. She literally cleaned off one table. Every table was dirty. Clumps of employees hiding in the corner on their phones.our order sat on the counter after is was prepared and no one said a thing. We eventually went to get it. My husbands order did not come with a biscuit. When he walked back to the counter to ask about it they said they didn’t have biscuits. Eventually they warmed one in the microwave. He also did not have sauce as requested when he ordered. This place is a lost cause. Sad to me....
Read moreNormally I enjoy jacks, but when my husband and I sat in the drive through for almost an hour waitin I doubt I will be back. We pulled up, ordered our food and then pulled around to pay. There was ONE car ahead of us. He had to get out of his car and go in to get his food. In the forty minutes we sat at the window AFTER ordering not once did and employee acknowledge us to take payment, tell us when our food would be ready, apologize or anything so my husband decided we would just leave and order food elsewhere. From the window we could see trash all over the floor. We went up the road to Popeyes and it took them all of ten minutes to get our order and our food. Jacks needs...
