My fiance and I ate here tonight and had the worst experience from a restaurant. First off if we are paying to eat somewhere I shouldn't have to yell to talk across the table because everyone is playing, yelling, screaming, and acting a fool in the kitchen. If you are going to have young adults/kids working maybe train and develop on manners and service. Staff was literally chasing each other laughing to the point they ran right into my fiance chair. Service was terrible rolls came out 20 minutes after we got our food and they were still raw. Had to constantly ask for our waitress because no one came back to check on us. This is suppose to be a Christian restaurant but seemed more like a teen party for the staff. If you have been open since 2022 maybe you should make some changes to staff, service, and good quality if you would like to see the doors open for business for another 10 years....

Food is no longer served family style but the portion size is so much you can't eat it all. I had the ribs which were fall off the bone good, by far best ribs I have ever eaten at a restaurant. You could taste the smoke and dry rub on them. My husband had the grilled shrimp which were also amazing seasoned to perfection with just a hint of char which we love. New collards as a side tasted like some your grandma would cook complete with hamhock and a touch of heat. There are still some of the favorites from the previous menu like the corn and salad which I love along with other things. I could have eaten a dozen of their new yeast rolls with the cinnamon honey butter! And as always everyone there was super friendly and service was...
Read moreTo put it simply, this is the best “Southern Food” restaurant in the state. My job has me frequently traveling throughout the state, but unfortunately not to Jackson often enough! Each time I have eaten here, the food, service, and price have been excellent. Every menu item I have had reminds me of the home cookin’ I grew up on and looked forward to whenever I went back home. This place reminds me a lot of early-days Cracker Barrel (when it was at its best). My meal today was started with their amazing hot rolls with cinnamon butter, then the Hamburger Steak with grilled onions and gravy, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and hush puppies (cause why not?!?). It was fantastic. If you are anywhere near Jackson, or even southern Alabama, it’s worth stopping for!
Edit: Stopped in again yesterday. ...
