I came here a few weeks ago and received bad customer service. I called my order in over the phone and proceeded to come into the store and stand in line to pick up and pay for my order. While in line I had two men who were standing to close to me in line. So I moved up a little still in line. I never got out. I was directly behind the people in front of me facing the cash register. When I walked up the young woman behind the counter tried to make it seem like I cut in front of the two Caucasian men who were in line behind me. I told her that I was in line because they tried to act like I wasn’t. So instead of standing next to the deli case I moved to where the register was facing to get away from them. She then proceeds to tell me to move aside. Why ? She should have taken my payment first. Instead she catered to the men behind me. Second woman comes up and tells me that I need to wait in line. Hello, I was in line. Why would I cut in front of a line of people ?And don’t you think they would have said something ? I come to broadway on the regular. This was my 3rd time coming here within the same week. I am a regular customer and so is my sister. Instead of taking care of the next person in line which was me. It seems like you like to cater to certain people. So I guess my money is not green enough. Then one of the men reached out his hand towards me like he was going to touch my arm and I told him do not touch me. Which he replied I wasn’t it. And I responded by saying okay it looked like you were. I guess he was trying to intimidate me. The woman looked like she was bothered by what I said. I shouldn’t have to defend myself when I was made to feel uncomfortable which is why I moved up a little. They were almost on my back they were so close. I wasn’t going to write this review but I think customers should know that look like me. That you will not be treated fairly and have to wait even longer. Mind you I was on my lunch break which is why I called my order in. Just be mindful of where you spend your money. Have a great day ! Thanks...

If you live or work near Belfort Rd near JTB and 95 you’ve probably seen Broadway Deli & Grill across from the US Post Office. It’s a weekday lunch spot and is buzzing with area residents and nearby healthcare and office staff. It sits directly across from Ascension St Vincent’s Southside. It’s a shame I’m unable to get over here more often. Their cold and hot sandwiches are big and made fresh to order. I’ve tried a number of sandwiches and have enjoyed every one. Today I ordered a 12” Park Avenue…hot Roast Beef, Ham, Turkey, Provolone, lettuce, tomato, onions, banana peppers, mayo, mustard and Italian Spices on a white hoagie. For sides I ordered a small pasta salad and small potato salad.
It was a little after 2pm so luckily I missed the lunch rush but there were still several tables of guests enjoying a late lunch. Shortly after ordering my sandwich came out. It’s counter service and they call out your name when you’re ready. As you can see by the pictures the sandwich was massive and full of mingling flavors. I was so hungry when I arrived but could only finish half my order. Gonna be a great dinner for later.
Owners Jack and Lisa Zacharia are really terrific and you’ll find both of them working hard every day to crank out hundreds of delicious lunch meals. Great to see another family owned small business really earning their success one guest at a time with so many apparent regulars. Put Broadway Deli on your list and come give them a try. They have a wonderful variety of sandwiches from Gyros to burgers to Deli subs and salads so there’s something...
Read moreI am not one to write reviews if they are bad( I typically only write good reviews) but this place is horrific!! Being in a high sales position in Jacksonville and a Jacksonville native I was appalled that a local business staff and owner could be downright nasty and rude to a paying customer! My order was messed up so I called and the girl I spoke to on the phone was rude at first informing me that I could bring my sandwich back or come and get my money back. She was very abrasive on the phone not in the least bit apologetic! In my opionion, if you had messed up the order then they should refund my money and not charge me for my sandwich. When I arrived I would have been satisfied with an apology and another sandwich but the woman owner was also very rude to me when I asked to speak to her she yelled across the counter saying " Just tell me what you need!" I started to explain to her what happened and rudly she said "look all I can do is give you another sandwich or give you your money back!" I took my money and left. I was so shocked at what had occured! This happened once to me at Jimmy John's and the manger himself got on the phone apologized, then proceeded to give myself and my two employees free subs! As a small business, you should treat every customer like gold because you should be lucky to even have your doors open in this economy! The woman owner is scathingly nasty and this deli should not be in business! I would not recommend this place and will be telling everyone I know and my clients about my...
