I had the most bizarre experience at the Jacksonville airport. I went to the Truly stand after I ordered my burger at Burgerfi. They had a bottle of vodka behind the bar so I asked if I could have a vodka and soda water instead of Truly from the tap. I have allergies, so I try to avoid flavor and color additives. She was a heavyset blond woman and she spoke loudly and pulled out a seltzer from her fridge. I asked if there was alcohol in the seltzer water she pulled out or if I should just get the Truly from the tap, since it was a flavored seltzer water anyway. She told me she could pour me a Truly from the tap and then add vodka. I asked if the Truly already had alcohol in it (since it seemed strange to me to add alcohol to an alcoholic beverage) and she said “I’ll pour it for you with a double shot of vodka in it.” I told her I just wanted the Truly only. She asked if I wanted food and I told her no, since I had just ordered. Then she made some comment about me being at the airport and wanting to get drunk alone “look, she didn’t even order food!” to her co-worker (who seemed to understand that I had no interest in an alcoholic beverage with added alcohol) and the other customers at the bar/stand. When I went to pay, after apologizing for any confusion, a person walking by stopped and insisted on buying my drink. I protested and she insisted. I presume because she heard the employee loudly talking stuff about me, even to my face. I had planned for my husband and 2 children to join me at the 4-top I secured next to the stand/bar, but she kept loudly talking stuff about me to other customers. Mean stuff about me wanting extra alcohol and getting drunk. Very strange stuff. I was trying to tune it out, but I didn’t want my kids to meet up with me and hear her saying such awful things about their mom. Once they called my name for my burger, I took my food and sat at the table to wait for my family, but the stuff talking and bullying continued - loudly. I ended up leaving. As a woman who is almost 50, I’ve never experienced this type public vitriol from a woman older than me - ever. It was a very bizarre experience. Burger was good and Burgerfi service for food was great. Maybe stay away from this employee for a...
Read moreThis is possibly THE WORST fast food place in any country in the world that I’ve EVER been and I’m 50 years old! We stopped by to have lunch before catching our flight to charlotte.
We didn’t notice that all the people sitting were sipping drinks and had no food in front of them so we ordered. 25 minutes later we still had not received our food and we had to leave to board our plane. We didn’t try to wait any longer after what we experienced and asked for and obtained a refund.
The people taking the orders were doing just that. There were 3 people we could see in the kitchen. Even though there were about 6 small (1-2) groups of people who were waiting for their order. There was only 1 short Hispanic lady in the kitchen who was doing anything. An African American man with dread locks was just standard there smiling laughing and giggling as the customers in front of us complained.
When we went to ask for our refund because we had to board, only the Hispanic lady did anything and she was the one who was working her butt off in the kitchen. She ran out to the order desk to help us.
As she was working on doing our refund, I politely complained about the delay and asked the dreadlocks guy what he found so funny as he was still just standing there, doing nothing and laughing. The guy taking orders burst into a huge smile, like “yeah! Mission accomplished “ and the dreadlocks guy burst into a new fit of uncontrollable laughter.
We got our refund and left.
Burgerfi - WHY ARE YOU EMPLOYED THESE PEOPLE??????!!!!!!!! (Except for the Hispanic lady who was trying to do everyone else’s job and her own, the other people were pathetic and seemed to enjoy the customers being dissatisfied and upset. Please Burgerfi - your loyal customers...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting. I walk in, and the guy behind the counter looks at me like I just ruined his day, with the most miserable face. He clearly hates his job, has zero manners, and couldn’t care less about anything. I ask if the burger comes with fries, and he says, “It comes with what you see.” What does that even mean?! I thought it was a standard order that comes with fries. I ask if I can just get a cup of water with ice, and this guy mumbles something under his breath. I say, “I’m sorry, what?” and he mumbles again. So I say, “Sorry, I didn’t hear you,” and he finally spits out, “We don’t give water, you have to buy it.” Seriously? I just said, “Okay, thanks,” and waited to see if he was going to charge me. But nope, he turns around and starts fiddling with the shake machine instead.
Another customer comes in and asks, “Is the CEO burger any good?” and this guy responds with, “I don’t know.” The customer asks, “You’ve never tried it?” and his response was, “No!” Then, she places a large order, and he looks at her like she’s asking for the world. I’m just sitting there thinking, “Do you even want people to eat here or what?!”
The food was whatever, but honestly, I couldn’t even enjoy it because of the awful vibe this guy gave off with his terrible attitude. Oh, and I never got any fries! If he’d just told me they cost extra, like the water, I would’ve ordered them. Instead, I watched him pour shake cream into a bucket while talking on the phone with a spoon in his mouth. I asked if I could get a shake, and he just flat-out said, “No.”
Just a completely awful...
