Careful with your orders, if you have a food allergy leave time to double-check your order before your flight. Overall the value for the subs is good and the ingredients are healthy for the price. We did have trouble with the order however.
We ordered two subs of the same type but a couple different variations. One without onions, the second without mustard. One with wheat, the other with white. The cashier read our order back to us and was quite friendly. We appreciated her service. The associate who made the sandwiches didn't mark the subs so we inquired as to which was which and he didn't seem interested. Note; we are the only customers here at the time. Which has mustard we asked and he pointed to one of the two. Turns out both sandwiches were made exactly the same. Wheat and mustard. Thank goodness it was only a food preference and not an allergy. When I asked for a bag I did mention this to the staff. I tried to be cheerful and point out the error and possible ramifications for people with food allergies. They were apologetic but ambivalent. The view was nice and sunny with plenty of airline goings-on to watch...
Read moreWe went to the counter to place our order but had to wait while the employees finished gossiping and acknowledged we were there. The lady that took my order for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and orange juice then left the store after repeatedly telling the workers to “add the order to the screen.” It appeared she actually worked next door at Auntie Ann’s. 5 minutes later a TSA agent placed an order. After much trouble they finally handed him his steak egg and cheese sandwich. By this time, about 8:15 after waiting 15 minutes, and after I asked several times, the ladies kept saying “it’s coming.” They continued to make other sandwiches for other people and the line continued to grow. I asked for a refund, but they said they couldn’t do it. We finally left (to catch our plane) without my sandwich and without a refund. The only good news in any of this is that maybe they will donate the money to first responders. I have always loved Firehouse subs but this store at the airport is an absolute disgrace and the workers are inept....
Read moreI typically check Yelp reviews on places long before I choose to eat at them. This time I didn’t. This location was the worse in terms of customer seevice. You get there, order but the guy taking your order gets annoyed easily resulting in him getting snappy if you ask questions about any of the menu items. A good thing to note, which is the most important, it that each order take about 20-30 minutes to make. This isn’t because the restaurant is short staffed or because the are back logged. I ordered 1 breakfast sandwich with no additions. The 4+ employees would rather waste time chatting and scrolling through social media from what I observed. So if you gave a flight or a connecting flight, don’t waste your valuable time going and ordering from this place or you’ll risk missing your flight. The atmosphere is shop and go with only two tables for two...
