We went for a weekday brunch (it’s not quite breakfast, it’s not quite lunch: Jacques). Parking is fine because of the shopping center. Inside it is a bit compact, smaller than the Philips and 210 locations. We took one of the two available tables. There are outdoor tables but today was blustery. Drink orders were taken and brought in a reasonable time. Our orders also were taken and came in a reasonable time despite them being busy. The Canopy Special was prepared correctly; CR bacon is very good and I wish you got more than two pieces. The fruit cup side was a good size and variety but just a little on the hard side, which is not the fault of the location but of the distributor. The Chicken Tinga is an item I’ve been eyeballing for a while so I took the plunge. It is very good and it has the right amount of kick for a diner breakfast. There is hot sauce on the table if you need it. The cilantro was missing but they told me it hadn’t arrived yet. Another distributor issue. The interior is bright and the tables/chairs in good shape. Read moreWe love Canopy Road and are so happy another location has opened! This charming eatery offers a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for a casual morning meal or a weekend brunch.
The menu has classic breakfast favorites and creative takes on comfort food, but my favorites are undoubtedly the cinnamon rolls and the Western omelet. The cinnamon rolls are perfection—soft, gooey, and generously topped with icing, striking the perfect balance of sweetness without being overwhelming.
The Western omelet is another standout. Filled with fresh veggies, ham, and melted cheese, it’s hearty, flavorful, and satisfying.
Whether you're craving sweet or savory, Canopy Road Cafe offers something to please every palate. Combine the delicious food with friendly service, and it’s clear this new spot is already a hit in Jacksonville. Highly recommended for...
Read moreFirst time at this location and we were excited because we were able to walk from our home to get there. Everybody was friendly and accommodating. They were busy but didn’t take long for us to sit.
My major complaint though was when I got my cup of water. It tasted like I imagine toilet water would taste like. My house is on a well so we don’t use city water but this water was just off putting. I’m not sure how others were drinking it. I’ve tasted the same water at the Mandarin Als House and is part of the reason we no longer go to that location so I’m not sure if it’s the location or what.
The food was pretty good but I find it to be overpriced for breakfast food and what you get. The water is the main thing that would keep me from going back but the prices aren’t getting me to go...
