Elevation Lounge — Restaurant in Jacksonville

My man came in town for the day and we decided to visit this location for the first time when we got there we paid at the door it was still brunch time $10 to get in for men. Ladies offer free we sat down and we already knew what we had in mind to order because we looked at the menu beforehand, but it wouldn’t let us stipulations on times you go to establishment. You have to be very careful with what menu you’re looking at because they may have multiple like this one dead so we had to alter our choices after waiting 20 minutes for a menu. Drinks came 35 minutes later and all we ordered it was water. Me and my partner are not drinkers like that especially not in the mornings. After we were satisfied with the choices we had made on our menus we basically looked at the pictures that they had posted on their menu and went off that I will say nothing pictured on the menu looks like what it did when it came out of the kitchen. Our food didn’t arrive until hour later most of the people around us who came in after us and ordered after us got there food before us. We had sat there very patiently, just waiting, as our stomachs were turning backflips. Our server continued to try to balance out getting all her money’s worth first. Regardless of servicing her tables to the fullest extent. Our food finally arrived after being at the establishment an hour and 15 minutes our portion sizes were two times smaller than the photos that were posted or on the menu. I was missing half of my food from my plate. There was no communication on where my other food was after waiting another 20 mins to get my server I was no longer happy. I was already starving and to only get a portion is crazy. just a quick reminder if you’re not spending money on bottles or any type of services here you’re not gonna get any good service they’re about a quick dollar they’re not about actually giving you good service all around. Also, the blue waffles will give you a stomach ache and make you poop different colors so just be prepared all we ordered was a blue waffles and chicken and the shrimp and grits. Food was a 3 though we waited so long It didn’t even come out hot. I’m guessing because my server was so busy trying to catch the next bottle buyer in her section. This place is small inside located in the crack of the worst side of town the travel isn’t worth it unless...

This place isn’t bad at all. I’ve actually been to the location twice the very first time I went. One of my girlfriends told me they’re actually charging before the time that they stated on a flyer that’s being presented with their name. I didn’t have any cash. So I went back home that day. The next time was a pretty great time. The bartender was awesome. Me and a couple of girlfriends decided to go there to have a couple of drinks. Also, whoever makes the hookah. They did an amazing job. That was one of the best hookah I’ve had in a really long time. The last time I went. I had the oysters and wings during a happy hour special. The wings weren’t horrible. But they probably could’ve been cooked a little bit longer. The oysters were amazing. And our waitress was very sweet. Our food took about an hour and a half to come out. I would also like to say they need to upgrade whoever operates the social media for this establishment. I’m not sure why. But they are not very polite and welcoming when answering questions and concerns regarding something being posted on social media. I’ve asked a couple of questions on there and Two of the times they responded like they were irritated and another time they just straight out ignored my question. Maybe because they went ahead and posted whatever needed to be posted. But still communicating with people you want to support it seems logical to be polite. If that person who operates the social media page can’t comprehend how to be polite. Someone else needs to do it. Overall, I think this place has potential. They have done a good job with upgrading it. I’ve gone to it every time it’s been something other than elevation. And the food is Almost always on point. This is the first time the atmosphere matches what they’re trying to bring…. I do hope, whoever owns or manages this place now, takes these Google comments and consideration. Otherwise, it’s just gonna get closed down again after a couple of years....

I been meaning to leave my review from December. I booked a section for an event in December. As soon as they posted the flyer in November, I contacted the promoter/owner and sent my deposit which was $325. I had been planning for this event the whole month and was excited. The day of the event was so hectic and unorganized. I get there and the women who were outside taking money for the other half of deposits for sections tell me “they don’t see my name” I showed them who I sent the money to (owner) they told me to step to the side and wait and they would get him to come out. I had to keep asking people because I literally sat outside for over an hour waiting to get the situation sorted out or get some sort of answer because I paid $325. I had to personally text the man again and ask him to come outside. He comes out saying “oh the bottle girls double sold the section, I’m sorry but you can come in for free”. He did refund me my money but it’s the whole principle of doing bad business and playing with emotions and money. Me and my friend went in and it was so packed to the point you couldn’t breathe. I didn’t feel any air circulating. People were sweating in there and they had not even been dancing (including myself). I literally bought one drink and left because it was literally a joke to be in there. Everybody was just standing around , no dancing going on, nothing.
