JJ's Crab House — Restaurant in Jacksonville

We are out-of-towners but Thankfully found JJ's on Google. Not only great food, portions, and prices but great service by the young man and his father or uncle (we're assuming).

Their homemade sauces are AMAZING. We have traveled a lot of places and eaten a lot of food and never tasted anything like it. It is truly unique and delicious. 👈🏼

We got to chat with the young man a bit and learned a little of his story.. truly a remarkable young man.. and quite a plight for his family to get to the USA.

I respect any who has to overcome the barriers of language.. social, economic, and other prejudices. He shared some of that with me and I think he should be commended for his courage and intelligence. I'm always happy to see ppl overcome the stuff they have to go thru to get to the USA and not only survive, but thrive... and maintain a good attitude! I'll bet that young man has more success in his life. .. we will certainly be rooting for him. 👈🏼😁👍🏼

Listen.... these crabs gave me life today. Now this isn’t a fancy sit down restaurant but it’s perfect to pick up and go. They also offer delivery and I don’t know any crab joints that deliver blue crabs! They had everything you could ask for snow crabs, blue crabs, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, etc. meals can be steamed with Garlic butter or fried. I recommend the garlic butter bc that sauce is delicious! Everything was fresh and tasty. They also have a seafood market for fresh seafood. Their prices are fantastic as well! I had snow and blue crab as well as shrimp and it was only $30 which is great! You’d pay twice that amount for this much food in most places especially in Orlando where I live. And it was way too much for one person to eat. If you are for looking for good food without the fuss you definitely want to stop here! Bottom line is I would definitely return ! We drove up from Gainesville just to order food at this fine establishment. This is the best garlic crab plates I’ve ever had in my life. Their prices are extremely affordable, the seafood quality is phenomenal and the JJ special sauce is a dream. They have a range of options from crawfish to crab, sausage and sides, and it’s all so delicious.
