Poor customer service, Main dish chicken was good, but forced/last remaining side items were tasteless at best. I attempted to order at the drive thru but, was not able due to a supposed long-term, one-way speaker malfunction. The drive thru attendee was able to inform me to please wait, but supposedly I was not able to respond yet was able to hear her entire conversation with "Tim." The female drive-thru attendee questioned Tim multiple times on if another co worker was in town, that she needed to leave. MULTIPLE TIMES,I eventually wanted to respond. 10 minutes later she informs Tim she is getting sick???(not around the food...not good time hear for a customer), she is tired of popeyes for the day and is ready to leave. She then begins to tell another customer in the lobby that he must wait, the drive-thru is selling the last of the side items, and the lobby is closing in 3 minutes, with new hours, he will need to leave. I was sat patiently waiting for 20 minutes listening to all the unprofessionalism and side items being sold to multiple others, then she yelled "pull up to order. I began to become excited, finally I would be on my way. Ha ha!! joke was on me. When I finally reached the window 37 minutes later, trailing three waiting cars; I was informed I could fill my coupon for the chicken but my sides WILL BE!! Red beans w/rice and mash potatoes. Read moreI am very disappointed at having to rate this establishment with such a low review. This list of issues are numerous and some need to be addressed immediately for health and safety issues. The front customer access door does not close and seal properly due to a faulty closer. Because of this issue, flies infest the kitchen, food display and dining area, carrying harmful germs and potential diseases. During my visit every table in the dining area as well as the floor was filthy and needed to be cleaned and disinfected. The AC vents were blowing small debris and it appears the ducts need to be cleaned. The self serve beverage are was dirty and there was no tea(sweet or unsweet). I ordered a 12 piece spicy drummet with the sauce on the side. Asking for sauce on the side derailed the ordering process and held up the line pending manager approval. This was my first time ever having this problem and my first visit to this particular Popeye's chicken (across from EWC an HBU). I added a star Because the manager on duty addressed my concerns with a polite, professional and immediate response. Waited in line for almost 25 minutes only to get to the window to be told they did y have any spicy white to cook. She then told me that there was some mild white that had just come up. To my hesitation, I accepted the mild white. I only said yes to it because I believed her when she said it just came up. If spicy white was not going to be cooked, I would have gone elsewhere. When I got home. The chicken was not fresh out of the grease. It was warm at best. I don’t think it was the temperature that the health department would deem to be safe. This to by far the worst Popeyes on the North. I feel like I was robbed. When I called her to let her know that that was not fresh chicken she said, “I went through this in the drivethru.” The only reason I had a conversation with her at the window is because she lied.
