What a nightmare. I waited 35 minutes from arrival on a delivery order that I accepted 15 minutes prior to drive there so it took them a total of 50 minutes from the time they received the order. I was told "the food is coming out now" and 10 minutes later I walked to the hostess who said "they are bagging it up now". 5 minutes later I tried to hand the hostess the receipt since it was already paid for to let another driver deal with it and she wouldn't take it. Instead upon her insistence she had me walk to the back to show me that they had another side that kept them doubly busy. Neither the front nor the back was even half full and even if they were it's no excuse for taking 50 minutes. If that's the case they shouldn't accept delivery orders until they can get their act together. The customer agreed to give me an extra tip which she reneged on after finding half her order was missing. The hostess had assured me that "everything was in the bag" even though I mentioned that I remembered a diet coke on the order was missing. The customer then had to drive to the restaurant to get the rest of the order, making her $17 delivery fee worthless and for the $17 costing me over an hours time and gas - below minimum wage. More like maximum rage! When I called Lillian's later they were just as snotty as in person and told me it was Uber's fault for underestimating the time and the customer's fault for stiffing me. Hello? 50 minutes? Half the order missing? And your response below has proven to be 100% bs. You say it's better to call in my order? Then there is zero proof of what was said. I handed her the phone for 100% accuracy - her fault, not mine. And placing online order not possible as Uber is the payer, not me. Even if I could the last thing I want to do after receiving the order is try to figure out your online ordering while driving busy streets to get to Lillian's. That's your answer to your employee's failure to simply scroll down to see the full order? And you say you're sorry and like the hostess blame the back room crowd. As I stated, neither room was even half full. Why have two rooms if the second slows both up? And you aren't sorry when you don't offer to compensate me. Like the customer who wasted the $17 delivery fee because she had to pick up the missing items was compensated NOTHING when she picked them up! You're full of BS excuses. Window dressing that potential customers will...
Read moreOMG! This was our family's first time to Lillian's for a late lunch after running some errands. My supervisor at work, Chris, had suggested this place.
We were very fortunate to get, Miss Shanna, as our server. She'd made our (myself, my wife & our youngest daughter stationed at NAS JAX) experience that much more enjoyable by giving us AMAZING suggestions for our first dining experience! Miss Shanna was very friendly, courteous & she was very patient to answer our many questions about their many different menu items. Which we'd GREATLY APPRECIATED her professionalism.
Through Miss Shanna's suggestion, for appetizers we'd ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna & Cajun Ranch seasoned Pork Rinds, that were STILL POPPING when Miss Shanna brought the tray to our table. For our meals, we'd each ordered an order of their 10 pieces of Chicken Wings made with their array of "Homemade Sauces". We could each select up to 2 of their sauces per order. Miss Shanna, had explained to us that their "special process" of preparing their wings is by deep frying them until they're crisp, then each of us selected 2 of their specific sauces which were added before they were grilled to seal in the flavor. l got Caribbean Jerk & Florida Gal. My wife got Honey BBQ & Garlic Parmesan. While our daughter got their Dragon's Breath & Asian Ginger flavors.
Thankfully, with Miss Shanna's quick thinking she'd saved my wife with a single packet of sugar after sampling 1 of our daughter's basket of "Dragon's Breath" flavored wings! My wife had said that after taking a small bite of the flat, it was a very slow burn that after a few seconds just exploded into an intense heated sensation wrapping from the roof to the whole inside of her mouth to the outside of her lips! It'd hurt her so bad that it'd caught her breath & all the water or alcoholic drinks on our table couldn't stop the burn. GREAT SAVE, Miss Shanna!
We will STRONGLY RECOMMEND Lillian's Sports Grill & Bar to our family members & friends in the Jacksonville area & to ask for Miss Shanna. We can't...
Read moreWe had a great time here. My friends and I have been looking for a local bar and we may have found it. We went to the back room and it actually started a little slow. It took a while to get a server and a while to get our first drinks even though the room in the back was fairly empty at the time even though they have a full bar back there where they had 2 bar tenders working just like the front room. They were in the middle of a shift change apparently and after our new server showed up things went extremely well. The food was excellent with good prices and there is plenty of things we want to go back and try. I had a stuffed burger between a grilled cheese sandwich with thick texas toast which was huge but almost impossible to stop eating along with a fanominal cheese quesadilla as an appetizer. I worked 15 years in the food business and was very impressed with the flavor combinations especially for a place that considers itself a bar and grill instead of a restaurant. Anyway We decided to stay and watch the band that was coming in and the place got jammed packed. They have a great following and sound great while playing different sorts of music. I can't remember the name but they play there monthly and I recommend going if you like live bands. We also noticed that they have different things going on during the week from poker and foosball tournaments to trivia night. They even have a nice stream with a gator named " One eyed Willy" swimming around. All and all we had a blast and i believe...
