Realities Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Down graded due to price increase, nothing in return. Drink Prices high, beer, Miler or Coor Lite $4.30, asinine that they added .30 cents to drinks so patrons pay the tax. Saturdays; sometimes Fridays have $5.00 cover depending if they can get a band. Bob & Pat NOT There any more, seems they retired from Realities but play at other venues. Realities as a bar has a lot of issues, has a Big music DJ/KJ issue, they play Country music durning the line dance lesson Fridays or Saturdays. But after the line dance lessons all they play for about 90 (last 2 times I went there) minutes was Hip-Hop, music then more then one set of it. IF I wanted to listen to Hip Hop I would not go to a Country Bar that offers Line Dancing. New owners, new floor, with snobby greedy General manager/Ownership. They do have 2 pool tables; at least 5 dart electornic boards but no longer have the Bowling OR Golf machines since they hid them out of view. Mens bathroom still needs a little repair fresh pain doesn't repair walls. They use to have good security; but now it is rarely seen since Golf Cart broke down, owner is to cheap to fix it. Security in the parking lot is not seen anymore. Overall the clientele is going downhill like the bar; seens now that their is less security you more hookers and dealers around trying to make sales. Tractor truck 18 wheelers parked on lot along side automobiles(not very bright) are starting to become common place and hide what is going...

I am here just about every weekend. The bar was completely remodeled. New faux wood flooring, redone dance floor, the entire place has an open air space. Realities now looks like an upscale sports bar! Watching the changes have been amazing and the Sense of family from the entire bar/grill make this place a second home. Don't drink alcohol? They have great soda. Hungry? They have delicious pub type food. Too drunk to drive? It is attached to an economic friendly hotel. Also, I have never seen a bar give away so much money for contests before. It is roughly one contest a month with the 1st place winning $300, 2nd place wins $150, and 3rd place gets a $50 bar tab! Pool tables, dart boards and just about every sport on each of their several flat screens. Also, Saturday's have a $5 cover because there is a house band. Bob and Pat have been playing here...

One of the bartenders was really cool the first time we was there but there's been one that was very ignorant and was no help at all. Very rude. She wouldn't even let us have plastic silverware for our room(which we was staying in their hotel). Wanted to order a Taco salad to go but wanted to charge me a $5 cover charge for ordering food to go. I do not recommend this place. Ps the hotel had no microwave, no mini fridge, no phone, the pool was closed our entire stay, and took 2 days for maintenance to show up...
