Budget Inn — Hotel in Jacksonville

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights... It was the worse experience! At first it seemed ok, we arrived fairly early. I guess before the crackheads got up. There were no lamp shades, remote didnt work, blood stains on one of the beds, noise all in the hallway and the key never wanted to work for us. My wife went to take a shower and when she pulled the shower curtain back 3 roaches fell to the floor and crawled off into the room somewhere. We sucked it up since we couldnt get a refund and we stupidly paid in advance without first knowing our surroundings. The area is quite deceiving if you get there early enough. So we continued with our vacation and visits. We met with a friend late one night and he lives on Beach Blvd so when the tropical storm came in we were stranded until about 3:30am, sadly we couldnt stay with him so we went back to the room. On the way into the parking lot a truck pulls in behind us. The storm knocked all of the power out and we could barley see at all. The truck follows us closely, pulls up behind us and sits. I have a taser so I immediately got it out. I held it up and a few seconds later they pulled off... In the middle of a tropical storm we were about robbed and without power and hauled butt into the room and then home the next day. The city needs to shut...

We've stayed here for almost a week now while my husband is working in town. Unfortunately, we paid for a week before viewing the grounds and cannot wait to leave. The first thing I noticed was the state of the halls. Trash on the floors, stained carpets, dirty walls and the smell. The room was filthy. Cobwebs hanging over the bed, no door knob on the bathroom door, water marks and mold on the ceiling and on the shower walls. A hole had rotted into the wall in the bathroom that was never repaired. The shower curtain was broken and we have been unable to fully close it. Lights have no fixtures. The fire alarm gone and filled with... paper towel? The curtains were broken and we have been unable to close them completely. All the furniture and bedding has stains or burn marks. Management refused to refund our money and were rude. Housekeeping is a joke. They won't step foot in the rooms. Instead, they hand you trash bags and bedding and walk away. If your room needs to be vacuumed be prepared to do that yourself also. at first coming to the budget inn on Ramona boulevard seemed like a good idea until we came inside the room and saw that there were missing doors missing toilet covers The place is basically no smoke alarm in the room we stayed at night we were charged correctly the first night in the morning we decided well we can deal with it with the issues and I'm going to get a room for another night I went to the office and was told not only was the charge not $58.63 but that was including tax so I paid with my debit card when I got back to the room I got a notification that I was charged $72.50 when I went to the office to try to dispute this the clerk basically got defensive and told me that's how credit cards do this and I tried to tell her I had a debit card and I was not charged that way tonight before I demanded a refund she gave it to me The 7250 went back on my card immediately this place is a horrible place to stay I do not recommend...
