I often bring my daughter to Barnes and Nobles and get a coffee and a book and today, as usual, they didnt put whipped cream and caramel drizzle on my daughters venti iced coffee (which happens EVERYTIME I go) so I tell the guy its supposed to have whipped cream (clearly written on the cup) and he proceeds to take out a scoop of ice and put very little whipped cream on it and puts the same flat lid back on it instead of putting the proper amount of whipped cream WITH drizzle (which he neglected to put on top) and using the proper lid. I could understand if they were out of the proper lids but they were not so it's ridiculous. As a consumer, getting what I pay for is the minimum service expectation. The cashier, as always, was a pleasure but as far as the barista, sub standard at best. I just took the drink and walked away but i wont come back here anymore. There's a Starbucks in the parking lot (not in barnes and nobles) that I've never had a problem like this with. That is where i intend to go from now on. My daughter told me not to be a Karen but if it is supposed to bother me that people created a label to make people feel like they are wrong for expecting service or products they pay for then call me what you choose. It's even more offensive when everything is so expensive now. If I am going to take an hour and half of my hard earned wages to get a couple iced coffees and muffins then I expect it to be what it is supposed to be....
Read moreI am a huge Starbucks fan, I've been to Starbucks all over the world and this is by far the worst Starbucks I've been to.
There is a year round fly infestation that never goes away, even though every other restaurant in Jacksonville has figured out how to keep them under control.
Sandwiches are perpetually frozen when served and you either put it on the dash heater to warm up or wait in the 30 minute line for them to warm it up again at which point it will be overdone and hard.
The line inside is never more than 3 or 4 people long, but it can take up to 20 minutes to get a drink from the barista because of the drive through and finally,
The drive through... it is a single lane with curbs on either side, so once you're in, you are in. Routine wait is 25-30 minutes for a 4-6 car line. How they get away with such slow and poor service is beyond me, but what you can expect of every other Starbucks on the planet does not apply here. Individually, the employees tend to be really nice and for a period in 2012 it seemed like there was some outside 'help' in fixing the issues but after a deployment in 2013 I came back and it is as bad as ever.
You are better served to go across the parking lot to the Barnes and Noble, Brewed Awakenings at 1000 New Bridge St or Heavenly Brew on MCAS New River if you...
Read moreWe use to love this store from our orders, the customer service and the time it took to get our items, everything was great. Many staff even took the time to recommend how to make our coffee creations better. NOW, It may be the newer staff, but no matter what time we go to this location all of our orders are repeatedly wrong or taste like they have used old coffee and espresso. Recently ordered drinks at "shift change", and there was a mix up of drinks in line which is fine if what you ordered tasted well. My frapp was completely melted and my husband's quad macchiato tasted like trash chocolate milk. I brought my frapp in for a replacement since it was less busy and the cashier went to the back away from the register. After a bit of a wait and a line forming with an unattended register, despite the plenty of staff behind the counter, I just left. It may have just been the time of the day, but even during the morning rush when it looks like there is less staff available, we are able to either get better drinks or better...
