Sooooo, I enjoy pancakes as much as the next person but I was more excited about brunch with my daughter and her fiancé. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, with one of their new Blue Raspberry Lemonade Splashers. The drink is described as: a blend of lemonade, lemon-lime soda & blue raspberry syrup topped with blueberries. The soda perhaps was out of the “lemon-lime syrup” so tasted more like bad soda water. Needless to say I was a little disappointed and the server didn’t offer to change my drink, offer to remake it, she just said “oh okay”. And I had to wait to point this out until she brought our food because we didn’t see her in between the delivery of the drinks and the delivery of the food. My daughters meal was made as ordered and she was happy with it. Her fiancé ordered the breakfast burrito with the fresh fruit side (which was an up charge). The burrito was very good but the fruit literally was mushy and discolored. The pineapple chunks were brown and smelled strange. The watermelon was mushy and slimy. The grapes were all brown, just awful. Every bit of fruit in the bowl was bad! When we brought it to the attention of the server, who we had to track down through by asking for assistance through servers because our server hadn’t returned since delivering our food, said “Oh yeah that doesn’t look right. Do you want one of the other sides?” Perhaps that would have been a fair question had she checked on us at any point during the meal but we were clearly done with our food and had been trying to locate her for 5-7 minutes. So we said said and noticed afterwards that we were still charged extra for the rotten fruit bowl. The lack of attentiveness of the server, the bad “specialty” drink without an apology or offer for something different, and being charged for a fruit that was obviously bad and shouldn’t have been served let alone charged made for an overall disappointing experience. I definitely won’t return to this location, more than likely I won’t visit any of them but certainly not this one. I want also point out we went to brunch on a Tuesday mid-morning (1030am), the restaurant was not busy to say the least, the level of attentiveness and care by our server was absolutely below what we should have been able to expect...
Read moreToday, 6/3/23 around 3:30pm. My family and I went out to eat… everything was good, there was no wait to be seated. It wasn’t even that busy, either. However, I guess the couple two tables behind us didn’t like the fact that their order got to them late. We were sat first, they were sat after us. They apparently ordered first and we ordered “10 mins after them”. I had a family of five who ordered a lot, too. I know (because it has happened in other restaurants as well) that the chef when they receive a big order they try to tackle that one first to help minimize the load on them…..but I guess some people feel/think they have some sort of privilege above others since “we ordered first, they ordered after us. It’s unfair. Can I speak to the manager.” They don’t stop to think at all about the load the chef has. It wasn’t even a busy time. I’d like to please recognize the chef, Ms Corinthia and the manager who had to speak to this young lady because it was “unfair.” Everyone had a job at the moment and handled that sort of Karen privilege wonderfully. Thinking I couldn’t hear or understand her, the young lady tried to handle her issues in a quiet tone with them. I may have ordered for everyone there because of my family’s language barrier and I may have spoken Spanish while trying to enjoy my food……but the young ladys’ certain ‘expected’ privilege spoke a lot and it made me feel uncomfortable finishing my food. My family noticed her pointing at us and after translating the situation that i could hear to them, the rest of my family felt uncomfortable being there. This is why for atmosphere I have placed a 1 star because sometimes others ruin your nice family outing. Thank you to everyone who was working at IHOP at this time. There are still people out there who appreciate you, keep on working hard. Anything to help you have a great day and less stressful will always be a positive for you...To others, a negative I...
Read moreThis was by far my worst experience at an IHOP, ever. Poorly staffed and highly unorganized. It took us 10 minutes to be seated after we had been greeted and accepted by the host. (There was no wait-list or overflow of customers.) Our drinks came quickly but we sat for a considerable amount of time before our order was taken. From the time we were seated to the time we received (most) of our food was 1 hour and 15 minutes. They brought us all of our sweets first. (Pancakes and French Toast) Except for my 7 year old. She didn’t receive hers until 10 minutes later and I didn’t receive mine until after that. We sat for well over 5 minutes looking our food because we had no silverware. I ordered the spinach and tomato omelet, no onions, add mushrooms and hash browns. When I received my omelet there was no onions but also no mushrooms and no hash browns AND no Holendaise sauce. (It is described in the menu to come on the omelet). They said they would remake my omelet and the entire time I could hear my waitress yelling at the cook to get it made ASAP. She stated this several times. I finally received my pancakes and as I was pouring the syrup over them I found a very coarse string/hair like “thing” protruding from the side. I pulled on it and it came from the inside of my pancake. It was a little more than an inch long. I had them to remake those as well. So by the time I was able to eat my food my family had finished theirs. Our drinks were excluded from the price of our meal for our troubles. The only reason I have two stars was because our waitress was very nice during the whole situation. I am not typically a person who posts reviews nor am I a “Karen”. Lol but the whole experience was far less than acceptable. All the employees need to be trained on teamwork and...
