I worked here for like 3 weeks and the owners are terrible. They own 3 Subways on base and I worked at the one in the mcx. When I started working there they only had 1 employee and I was there second. The store was disgusting. They had black mold growing on the growing the mini fridge up front. The oven and proofer looked like they had not been cleaned in forever and it smelled disgusting. The bane (where they kept the food upfront) had looked like it never got cleaned before the other girl and I started working there. I had worked at Subway for 3 years before working there so I know how to run a Subway. Also the owners did inventory and I don’t know how they screwed it up so badly each time. We would be out of like 5 things at a time because they didn’t order it. But they would et extra of the things we didn’t need. We failed inspections twice just because of things that they were supposed to take care of. Also, on my second day of working here, they had already asked me to train somebody else. Even though I have Subway experience, I shouldn’t be getting asked to train somebody on my second day without extra pay. Lastly whenever you pay with card there is an option for tipping. I didn’t know this until I got my paycheck but they take your tips. They had it posted everywhere that pay is $15 an hour. But when I got my paycheck it said I made 13 plus a miscellaneous pay, which equals $15 an hour. At the other Subway that I worked at I had gotten all the tips. It just doesn’t make sense because that means the pay is actually $13 an hour and not 15 so I feel like that should have been stated. I texted the owner and told him how I felt about this and he never said anything back to me. One more thing is that when they hired a new employee, she had printed her IDs and her Social Security card on a piece of paper and he took this paper and he just left it upfront for all the customers to see, that is very unprofessional, you can’t just leave somebody’s information laying around. Someone could’ve easily taken a picture of it or taken it so I put it in the back. Another thing is, they wasn’t even gonna give us a paystub until we asked for it. So they had to make us account on ADP. They asked me to send a picture of my ID and Social Security card. He asked to send me my full name and address. Like I just sent you a picture of my ID and it has that information on it. Just look at the ID. One more thing Is that the prices of their subs are extremely high. All the prices listed on their menu are not the same in the computer. So they are getting charged more than they actually thought. They didn’t change them until we pointed that out to them.
