I was a little disappointed. We visited for our normal Sunday breakfast and of course it was busy, you can't expect anything else when you go to waffle house on a Sunday. We were fine with that. We sat at the bar and were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Our server, Shey, was very quick when it came to taking our order.
The food took longer to come out and at the bar, you can see the cooks making the food. You saw the cooks and the ticket caller throw on gloves and move food from one plate to another because they were messing up orders. There was only one person cashing customers out and they were the same person taking to go orders.
We got our food and it was messed up.
I didn't feel ANY energy from the servers or the cooks. They all seemed frustrated with one another and it effected the orders.
There was also a server, not ours, who would go in the back to eat her food, came back to the back (without washing her hands and still had food in her mouth chewing) and served a table their food. Aside from COVID, as a server, you shouldn't do this. I feel like she needed to have an actual break to eat OR at least wash her hands and finish swallowing her food. I'll be going back to my waffle house and don't know that I'll be back at this one...
Read moreTried to call in a pick up order. They must have purposely taken the phones off of the hook because it went straight to voicemail everytime I called. And we tried 5x. So sent my husband in to do to go. They were not busy at all. While he was there I called 2x and he said he never heard a phone ring. Great buisiness model to ignore customers. One of the items we ordered was a 2 egg breakfast. By the time he came home with the order we saw that not only was it only 1 egg but it was so raw (ordered sunny side up) and was still basically clear egg white all over everything. So had to send him all the way back to get food that was edible. I called the store while he was on his way to give a heads up. I told the girl (this time they actually answered) what happened and she didnt even respond to me but I heard her yell "I wasnt here its not my fault" loudly to another co worker. Then the manager came on and I repeated what happened and he basically said my husband better have his receipt. Even though he was just there no more than 5 min ago and THEY didnt give him one. Read moreI’ve been blessed to frequent this location for the past 6 years. Food is good every single time no matter if it’s a holiday or not. It’s cold but I bring a jacket like I would at any other restaurant. I sure don’t want any sweat in my food. I’ve seen a lot of the people that have been complaining on these reviews lie. And it’s unfortunate. Y’all are expecting 5 star restaurant and the employees give great service but y’all treat them like they work in a drive thru. Waffle House the only restaurant that I know of have their employees do pretty much everything. Most of the workers are pulling 17/14 hour shifts because of the short staffing. I will continue to come here because they are such hard workers and actually enjoy their job. It’s a joy to see in a place. Maybe next time you come in get to know them, smile, and just be kind.
